Oh, that's such a disappointment, especially because at the start, everything sounded so good. But oh well, that happens. I have had a few failed reads as of late. Hope you find a good one next!

I had this on my TBR a while ago, but then I read that book 1 was the best of the series, book 2 was still pretty well-regarded, but book 3 was a big disappointment for a lot of people.

The fact that I remember basically no one except for Clef should say enough about my enjoyment and investment level lol. I am sorry this was such a big disappointment, but I think you made the right call to not continue the series! I had been debating for a while if it was worth a reread to finish out the series (only have book 3 left to read), but I just genuinely don't care oops. If you liked this setting so much, I think you would adore the setting in The Mask of Mirrors by MA Carrick! Great review, Zara ;)

I've read The Divine Cities Trilogy. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Bought The Founders Trilogy on the back of it. On the back burner. Bit apprehensive after listening to your review. Currently reading The Age of Madness Trilogy. Perhaps everything goes downhill after Bayaz and Glokta. However, second league is better than no league .......

@@bookswithzara Just finished A Little Hatred and just started The Trouble With Peace. I've read the previous six (in publication order) within the last couple of months and love the way they are all connected, to some degree. So rewarding. I'm looking to purchase Sharp Ends in case I start having withdrawal symptoms when I finish reading The Wisdom Of Crowds!

@@bookswithzara not yet 😅 I'll be restarting it after I'm finished the Janny Wurts book I'm currently reading. On the 2nd book of her Wars of Light & Shadow series, and its really good so far, just a lot to digest.
