First of all I will say that I love my Leonardo pens. I do think that Leonardo relies too much on the beauty of their pens, and should also pay attention to the nib quality. I have one extra fine Leonardo nib and even after professional intervention, it is not a pleasant writing experience. I just received a Leonardo pen with a stub nib that has that same problem as your pen. It writes more smoothly if I lower the angle, but that is not my writing style. I will be seeking a nib smith to smooth it, as it is a gold nib. The Japanese idea of making a broken thing to be even more beautiful, is very appealing to me. Sometimes, the objects that show wear or patina, become our most loved possessions. I prefer the Furore design of Leonardo pens since they are most comfortable to hold. I would like to see Leonardo utilize some of their beautiful resins, more often in that model. A final comment; I have never used the end finial access to the converter although for some reason, I still think it's an interesting design choice.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm completely aligned with your concern about the Leonardo nibs and observe the same thing; as well, Leonardo is too much focussed on the LMZ or LMZG models ... History of an object (with "traces of its life") is also important for me, Kintsugi is truly a beautiful art.

As you mentioned, another MZ, albeit with a striking design, but again an MZ, and LOI's focus on only a few models with changing colors and patterns is starting to bore me. The same model policy can be seen at Pilot. I sometimes use the converter filling system hidden under the blind cap, but it would be much more convenient and useful if they would have added an ink window...

Yes unhappily for the LMZ .... For Pilot, it is true also about the models, yet there is in my mind a big difference: Pilot proposes many different nibs/grind and gold nibs. And their nib reputation is really well-earned. Except Sailor, there is no other company which proposes so much different grinds at this quality level (and price). And made in-house. For me, it makes a big difference ... Thank you for your comment ...

@@UneFontaineDePlumes 100% agreed. With Pilot and Sailor, they make a huge difference with their nibs, quality and grinds.
