That's a very attractive pen. Obviously, you know a great deal about 3 D printing, since you were able to make a cap liner for your hybrid pen. It still seems like magic to me. I've looked on the Platypus website and I too would have a difficult choice to make, with the variety of colors and patterns. Excellent and informative review. Do you think that products made from 3 D printing will degrade over time?

For 3D printing, it is important for me to tell that Mr Lew is by far much more skilled than me, I'm not able to create a pen like he is doing, at the same quality level. Your last question is very difficult to answer. I can just share my opinion and I can totally be wrong. My feeling is: it will be necessary to take care of the pen (PLA is very rigid, better to avoid mainly shocks and anything related to flexibility. Avoid also too much temperature variation), then it can probably last few years if used carefully several time each day. But I don't think it could last much more. Just my feeling based on what I know about the material, but I have no experience myself. (Technology has always a part of magic to me also. I'm always amazed by many things that some skilled people are able to do).
