Honestly, the MB 149 might be the only pen you'll ever need. The Pilot Custom 823 is a great alternative. Many other pens might be good, but the MB 149 and the Pilot Custom 823 are fountain pen perfection. Save yourself from "collecting" and start writing. (And the Pilot Custom 823 price is far more reasonable that the 149's!)

@@brooklyncannery8607 Hi, no, neither the MB149 nor the Custom 823 proved uncomfortable in any way for long writing sessions. Quite the contrary. Their large ink capacities and perfect ergonomics are ideal for these extended sessions!

It is certainly one of my grail pens to get. I thought about a Pelikan M1000 but it is a very wet flow pen, more than I can handle being left handed. I understand the 149 is not as wet.

Grail pen or not, out of all of mine, I enjoy my No.22 the most. I could write for hours and not get bored.

Very relaxing, wish you listed the music that accompanied this video. I have my 149 inked with noodlers rattler red eel. Montblanc fountain pens are so smooth but you need the right ink for that good continuous flow. Iroshizuku is another good ink.
