Thks for video. This is like comparing vehicles. There is no perfect boat for all things. It's all mission specific. Budget is #1. Speed vs comfort at anchor? Build quality, style? Charter in BVI? vs sailing the World. It's subjective. For my money, I would prefer a used 7 figure boat for the same price as new Saona or Lagoon. For me that's a Privilege.pun intended. However, I have 2 sailing channels,I followed for years. People who don't post for $ but just share. One is " IMPI " a South African who has sailed all over the world in his Lagoon 44. His technical info is great. He says production cats are not designed for world cruising, so he in the beginning modified and strengthened his boat. Some of the best sailing videos I have seen are his crossing of the the Tasman sea in the roaring 40's. Up on the bridge, bridge, surfing and dolphins jumping all around the boat. The second channel is " Great Circle " a Dutch couple. 10 years of videos with a Lagoon 39, Lagoon 52, and their latest Outremer 55. Best videos you will see of cruising Norway Coast. The Mediterranean , Caribbean and now on their World circumnavigation. Take a Look at their video of their passage through Gibraltar in Force 10 winds in their Lagoon 52. Yeah that passage was a result of a poor decision to run too much main sail knowing very heavy weather was coming.

Pour avoir eu les 2, c'est sans contexte le Saona qui est le meilleur bateau des deux, ou tout du moins le meilleurs compromis entre confort et utilisation. Peut-être pas pour 2 semaines de vacances, là où le nautitech peut apporter satisfaction, mais pour vivre ce n'est pas un bateau que je conseillerais. Les clients qui viennent du mono ou ceux qui n'ont jamais rien essayé d'autre trouveront sympa les barres à roue sur le jupes arrières, mais pour avoir longtemps testé les deux solutions, le poste de barre Fountaine Pajot est très bien fait et permet de travailler à deux d'une manière très fluide en étant protégé des éléments. Aller à la barre même par gros temps est toujours un plaisir, alors que sur le nautitech c'est veste obligatoire et embrun de fou dans les dents dès que ça souffle ! Donc pour 2 semaines aux Antilles en vacance, ça passe, mais pour lun long parcours dans des mers plus froides ce sera un regret (surtout quand vous croiserez un Saona ;-) . Rajoutons que nombre de Nautitech ont des soucis de rigidité de plateforme qui peuvent poser problème dans le gros temps avec des aubans qui twistent (vécu !). La rançon d'un poids contenu...

Having sailed both in difficult conditions, the Saona helm is by far the one you want in heavy seas. When your auto pilot fails you do not want to be hanging on just off a sugar scoop. Where as in heavy seas on the Saona you can be in the saloon and pop up without going near the extremities of the boat and protected from falling out by the arm rest etc.

We have always used Sun Sail in the BVI when going south. We use Great Lakes Sailing Company in the Great Lakes. We use Canadian Yacht Charters North in Canada

Uuuhhhmm.... That's a sporttop helm, sir, not a flybridge helm. Self-tacking headsails are fine if you know how to use them. It took me about 2 or 3 days to go from vehemently anti-self-tacker to a fanboi. You'd really prefer to be at the back of the boat, with zero visibility to the bows of the hulls and as close to the water as possible, during heavy weather? Or you're just ... not going to spend time at the helm in rough weather? I'm sure your charter guests would feel all sorts of confidence with that idea. Port-side and stbd-side travelers? Oh man. Those are jib cars. Maybe hold off on doing boat reviews for a quick minute, sir. The owner's version not well-suited for charter? You don't say 🤣 No thoughts on the deck-flush ports of the FP v the toe-stubbers and sail-snaggers of the Nautitech? 🤔 No thoughts on the anchor locations? I watched this review then the Lagoon review and, sorry, had to come back and drop a comment on this one to dissuade any viewers from following your advice. You’ve done some decent google searches, I'll give you that. But maybe don't do boat reviews until after you have some first-hand experience.
