very impressive. I built a blow through in my ext cab silverado with four 15" memphis pr's. I did a 145 db Legal with my box tuned down @ 29 hz and only 1000 rms. Right now im rebuilding to 34 hz and gonna run some fi x 15"s and hopefully break 150's

@ObiBassoholic so what youre saying that you can have an amp thats pushing 2000w rms at 2 ohms and have a sub thats 1000w rms dual 4 ohm and have a 2000w system i dont think so. do your math man and then come back i have a mtx jackhammer 600w monoblock and the mtx ts12 and its a 600w system if i put a 1000w monoblock its not going to be a 1000w system will it?

@Supergumby5000 i never said i knew everything but this guys saying that an amp will determine the power of a system and i dont think so if you take a JL Audio 1000/1 and put it with a W7 thats a 1000W system but if you put a sony 350w sub thats not a 1000w system thats all i wanted to say and if you dont agree correct me i wont hate.

@josearmz10789 Dude you make no sense. You say he's not running 4000 watts because he only has Type R's, he has a 4000 watt amp. Doesnt matter what subs they are. It matters how you have the Coils wired. So he is just overpowering his subs. Yes the combined RMS of the 4 Type R 15's is about 3kw, but they are D4's wired in Series/Parallel. And that Brings the Final Load to 2ohms, and the amp makes 4kw at 2ohm. Get it?

@ObiBassoholic i know the amp will always put out what it says but for that it needs to have 14.4v and youre the noob here cuz if you have an amp runnin at 14.4 volts and its rated at 600w it will push out the 600w rms but if you have a cheap ass sub like a sony it wont be the same system as if you would be pushin a jl audio w6 will. thats my point i know amps have the power but if you dont have good subs what good is it to have a big amp. i know the wiring schemes.

@josearmz10789 LOL WOW dude your a noob. Having a Dual 4 ohm subs only gives you 2 wiring schemes. Wire it in parallel an it brings you down to 2ohms(which in your example it would get the 2kw), wire it in series it brings you up to 8ohms. Man this is basic car audio stuff man. You amp you put out rated power as long as its wired to the correct ohm load. Doest matter if you have it wired to a BTL or a Sony 6x9.
