Thanks, Greg! I've been wearing a mustache since I could grow one. I eventually started letting my beard grow out for the fall in my late 30's. With the help of Beardbrand & a good barber, I now rock a full beard all year. I'm currently learning how to train/grow an amazing handlebar. Thanks for your vids, they are a great help.

Hi Greg, I decided to take up the yeard challenge and almost 3 months underway. First trim and different haircut at the bar er. I like it and lots of positive reactions. So for me just letting it go. Honestly Greg if I take my beard down to stubble I look like I'm sick or something. It doesn't look good!! My Dad was the same way. I don't like it too long either because I don't care for the maintenance! I've found out over time that what works best for me is a 2-3 inch beard that is tear drop shaped with a petite walrus type mustache. It's that perfect happy medium where I have good coverage,nice shaped , and low maintenance!!

Hi Greg, Good to see you! I'm rocking my stash and goatee for the late Summer. I'm going to let them grow out for the rest of the year and maybe go for the long goatee if I like the look. For me its much easier to deal with in the hot weather. On another note I would like to let viewers know that one of our beard brothers( Mark Sullivan) passed away from cancer of the Appendix. Mark had a great youtube beard channel where I drew much inspiration. He was a great guy and is sadly missed.

My beard tends to be one length---some parts are as long as 2.5" here, although the bottom may be trimmed off as short as 1.2 on the front chin

I'm starting to grow out my executive beard so that I have a big beard by the winter. I miss my bigger beard and it's time to bring it back!

I trimmed to my version of a short medium beard close to your length there. Slightly more angular to go with the longer hair for a Viking look.

I had to take mine down to stubble because of a trimming mishap. I'll be growing mine out (hopefully like Greg's) and keeping it year round. As I get older, the sagging neck and less pronounced chin is well hidden by a longer beard. Greetings from New Jersey, Greg!

i do like a shorter beard for myself, as it gets to a certain length and seems to stop growing on the one side! mostly i have it like the pictures you showed at the end - the Black and white image, so not stubble short, but not Viking long! i would like to have it a lot shorter in the summer, but my missus says "nope" she prefers a wilder long haired look on me. even though i don't mind either way, i always had a goatee, grew it out over lockdown, and stayed a beard ever since, but i want to experiment with styles - exactly like you say. but my missus just says it will take forever to grow out or grow back - as i admit my beard does take a while to look substantial. tricky to find the balance of what i want to experiment with, as its my face! and listening to what my other half.

Beard trim in the early spring then I use all summer for growth, so that I start the cooler months with an excellent full beard.

I like my medium/long beard even with it being warmer out. My chin is very weak and I like how a bigger beard makes my face look.

Hi Greg, I had to shave my long beard due to a problem with ingrown hair. The thing is those hair start to be ingrown in a certain little spot around the chin, they itch a bit and then due to stress while at work I start pulling them apart (and they get pulled apart really easy). Then it looks like I have alopecia in that area (which I don't it's just that I extracted multiple ingrown hair) and I remove it in order to make it regrow in an even way. Never had this problem over the years but now it happened twice. Do you have any suggestions as to why it happens and how to deal with this? I already use shampoo beard balm and beard oil.

Shaving irritates my skin, worse in summer when it's hot. So shaving in the summer, is worse. I am sure that is the way for others, also.

Your beard grows more than 1/2 inch a year. A typical beard grows about six inches a year.
