Val can you answer a question. KZbin shows mods to ratchets for example 1/4 drive modes as a short 3/8 drive with rebuild kit. Does this type of innovation make the warranty void? Snap-on has a great warranty program just many mechanics mod and I am genuinely interested in your input. Thanks

Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Son-in law was trying to make contact with a new Snapon dealer after moving to another state. They basically told him to piss off. So I called my retired dealer who not only gave me the name and phone number of his replacement, but also got the name and number of the dealer that served the area where my daughter and son-in law moved too.

There's lots of dead snap-on dealers because the majority of them are near or beyond retirement age. Retiring to be a tool dealer isn't uncommon for older mechanics.
