I wanted to see, the water and, the remote heads (or whatever) off the Gr/Wt/Bk leads!

Yosen Mamma Everybody wanted to see the boiling water but the smoking 100 amp battery cable is pretty good. The Gr/Wt/Bk leads are just going to wall plugs.

OK! Thanks, I have two amps that I use, one I use at 13v to 14v and the other I run at around 20v. Just looking for a way to use one power supply to run either amp instead of a bank of batteries and a separate supply for the other. It's always worth a try. Thanks for the great info and video.

If the market were bigger we would make one but right now we sell 1000s of the 12 volt units.

nice!! next month ill be getting one of your 30 amp power supplies for my ham radio, it is rough to find a power supply over 20 amp w a fan that is not full of noise...

Hi John. I have several of your S-400 supplies. They have been running non stop for 3 years in my ham shack and have served me well. My question is: Will the older 350 & 400 models parallel like the 700 series?
@JohnMarles8 жыл бұрын
It is possible to run two S-400 or s-350 in parallel by using a 90 amp diode isolator. We sell them with instructions. The S-700-12 needs nothing to run in parallel with many another S-700-12s. www.12voltpowersupplies.us

Hi, not sure if you know, but if you are running the current directly through water you are splitting the water molecule into hydrogen and oxygen gas with can recombine explosively. I think you mistook the vapor coming off of the water as the water boiling, it was _not_ that was hydrogen-oxygen gas. Be safe man.

Interesting out of the box thinking and people running electricity through water can be in danger of molecule separation. However we are running the load through a large gauge Nichrome Wire which carries all the electricity from electrode to electrode thus no electricity flows through the water in a plastic bucket. The water is just used as a coolant. The smoke was coming off the 200 amp battery cables. Yuck, burning rubber. Thanks for you intelligent comment.

Can I connect two computer power supplies so as to increase overall amps from 15A each to may be 28A-30A by not disturbing voltages (12v each)? ITS URGENT
@JohnMarles8 жыл бұрын
+Ruchit Dutt No. that usually does not work. They sense each other and one shuts down over loading the other. Since I don't sell them or know which ones you have I can only give you an educated guess.

+John Marles oh thank you...actualy i wanted to power a car amplifier at home....i had two working zebronics power supplies....and instead of buying a new one i wanted to comine these

Can they be put in series?
@JohnMarles8 жыл бұрын
No they cant.
@sarahszabo43238 жыл бұрын
John Marles Darn. They look great anyway. They would be great for amateur science, in my case, electrochemistry. (Think water dissociation/separation), and other electrochemical reactions. Most electrochemical reactions depend on low V high current for progression, so a switched mode power supply like this one with heavily filtered DC should be perfect! I think I might order one!

what can one use to test ?
@JohnMarles8 жыл бұрын
In the video I used an 18 gauge Nichrome wire connected to car battery jumpers and submerged in a 5 gallon bucket of water. For a small load test you can always use 12 volt light bulbs. Don't turn it up over 12 volts or the bulbs will burn out.

Can you also make this 24v at 200 amps along with variable from say 6v to 24v? Thanks
@JohnMarles8 жыл бұрын
No, we would have to redesign the whole power supply and in the same form factor each unit would only put out 25 amps.

What would you ever need this for? An artillery railgun?
@JohnMarles8 жыл бұрын
They are mainly used for High Powered Ham Radio Linear Amplifiers. Many people connect 8 together.
