FOUR PAWS rescues the Ukrainian brown bears Rosa and Potap from cruel private husbandry

In the Ukraine it is not only stray dogs that are suffering. There are about 100 brown bears living in very poor captive conditions across the Ukraine. Most of them are living in small cages next to restaurants, hotels or petrol stations. The bears are undernourished and ill. Many of them have to perform tricks to entertain tourists and are abused and forced to consume alcohol.
FOUR PAWS rescued four of these bears from cruel private husbandry in the past months. This video shows two of the bears, Rosa and Potap being saved and brought to the newly established bear rehabilitation centre Synevyr.

This is so hard to watch, knowing that many animals live in such appalling conditions around the world. Thanks a lot to Four Paws for rescuing these bears. I am so happy for them, but also sad for those who are left behind, as the poor wolf with the very tight collar and the two racoon dogs. I wonder what their fate will be. People can be unbelievable cruel to animals. But there are angels, like the people in Four Paws. That brings some hope for the world.

The laws for wildlife conservation in each country must be restricted. And abusers such as in Ukrainian bear baiters must be punished and given life sentences in prison. Quite appalling to watch as how the bear had the chain bitten permanently on his neck. So sad. Can't imagine.
