I saw an actor in Sherlock Holmes (Jeremy Brett ones) that I recognized. It turned out to be "Ciaran Hinds" in the Credits. [He was much younger - so I wasn't sure if he was the actor I had seen sort of recently in something (he played a villainous role sorta' ). The Credits said "Ciaran Hinds." ] These are all very cool (and I think it's the same guy). Excellent with this photography. Excellent choice of a model, also. Ciaran Hinds is great.

I should be more clear (the role I saw him recently, Ciarán Hinds played a villainous role sorta'). I the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes one (Ciarán Hinds played a compassionate - but also a murderer - he was compassionate and devoted in that - he just went wrong with that luving devotion). Joke: [because I'm a joking guy]: Did I say "Ciarán Hinds" enough up there (in my original comment.? Lol. [Notice I even started throwing that slash above the "á" in the reply area. Lol ] Lol 😂 Good job.

wonderful portraits, the capture of emotion in each one telling a story that goes far beyond the simple representation of a face in a photo. The word genius is all too often thrown around these days with little thought to whether or not the work produced is a work of genius or whether the person who produced the work is themselves a genius. You, sir, as far as I am concerned are a genius. I have looked at and been absorbed by your portrait studies of actors, politicians, and services personnel and each has had the power to make me THINK. Ever since my first introduction to your work, the studies of Sir Patrick Stewart (still my favourites of your excellent works) I have been in awe of your insight and skill with your sitters There is a depth to your portraits that far exceeds what appears in the surface pixels of the images . Your pictures paint many more than just 1000 words

Which camera do you use Rory Full frame or Medium format?

Both, my current Full Frame Camera is Canon D5MK IV, tidd.ly/3qnct1T. Medium Format Camera Hasselblad H6D-400c MS tidd.ly/3k15V6x. If you are just starting out & don't want to spend too much money, I recommend Canon 5DMK II. Its full frame and I've created many of my best pieces with this camera tidd.ly/3asYEt9.
