I’m here because every website has different nickel foods listed, none are the same. Docs only prescribe me creams. I’ve always had an external nickel allergy if I was wearing it, not touching it. Now it’s food. I developed a type of dermatitis last year, and saw online that eliminating nickel from our diets can eliminate this type of dermatitis. So I eliminated the highest content of nickel in foods like cocoa and chocolate and I’m seeing an improvement. I already have celiac and multiple food allergies.

1) nickel is in soil. Lower in some areas higher in others. 2) contaminated with nickel old because of old pipes and machinery 3) cooking method. Stainless steel contains nickel and leach nickel into food. Avoid can foods. 4) tolerance levels everyone has different tolerance levels.

Thank you for this. I found out a few months ago I have nickel allergy 😥 It's definitely been a "hard pill to swallow" ice been very slack, but I'm trying to cut as much out as I can. I'm still very much in the reactivate state. You mentioned a video for products, I'd love to watch please

It’s been 3 days since I have been diagnosed for a nickel food allergy and it’s very hard to find food to eat.😭

How did you get diagnosed to determine your allergy is systemic (and includes food), rather than just contact dermatitis (skin allergy)? I’m struggling to get access to testing for SNAS. It appears the doctors in Seattle aren’t aware of SNAS.

I recently did the mineral and heavy metal test in my hair and the level of rubidium, nickel and potassium came out very high. I have intolerance to dairy and gluten, degeneration of the discs of the vertebrae, inflammation, etc. my question is if a chelation treatment would help to normalize the metals and minerals described above, or what other treatment or diet would help in the given situation?

Could you make any recommendations for specific food prep tools/pans/etc?

I have mast cell activation syndrome, which causes histamine intolerance. And it turns out I have a nickel allergy too! I’m also learning since I’m prone to kidney stones, foods high in oxalate bother me as well. It was a shock to me when I realized pans were making my dermatitis patch flare! I tried teflon, awful! It felt like my brain was expanding. Cast iron made me flare too. I bought stainless steel with the wrong percentage, and that made me flare bad! Glass seems to be ok, but the taste of food is so funny to me when I cook in it. The only pans I can tolerate are my grandparents old pans from the 70’s lol. But I’m going to look for 18-0 pans. My pans are sooo worn out now! It can’t be healthy me using them lol. It’s been about 3 years since I found all this out, and I’m down to 16 foods. It was 17, until I found out coconut was making me flare. And now I think carrots are a culprit as well, since reading they’re high oxalate. Thankfully I see a dietitian who specializes in MCAS and knows a lot about food. But my god, I’m so tired of eating the same foods! But I’m alive, so I try not to complain. Great video!😃

I hope you found Tramontina pans. Very affordable try-ply pans made of 18/0 SS. Walmart sells them, and sometimes Costco. Do not get their cheaper line, it isn't 18/0!!!!!

@@Cathy-xi8cb thank you for the recommendation! I’ll def check to see if my Costco sells them!

Hi, thanks for sharing. I’m wondering if you have had any success using iron and/or vitamin C supplements with your meals to decrease uptake? I know this is suggested for nickel allergies so it may not be relevant for you with cobalt allergy, but I thought I’d ask just in case :)
@nickelallergycoach3 жыл бұрын
Hi. Research hasn’t shown that vitamin c decreases absorption of cobalt. I still take vitamin C regularly, usually once or twice a day. Instead of supplementing with iron I eat a diet rich in iron. Sometimes I will supplement if I have a day where I don’t eat iron-rich foods but not often. Have you found success with supplementing iron or vitamin C? Thanks for the great question 🙏

Thank you for sharing these informations! Very helpful. How do you deal with tape water ??

Hi! Sorry for the late reply. You can test your water and/or filter it. I have a Berkey water filter in my kitchen for cooking and drinking. I also use a filter in my shower. Here is a link for a test kit sold in the US. Hi really loved your video. I have question. How can i calm the initial inflammation so i can stat testing low nickel food?
@nickelallergycoach Жыл бұрын
Hi! Thank you. If you have already been strict about avoiding all contact with nickel and you are still very reactive then trailing a low nickel diet would be a good next step. Start by avoiding the top offenders- nuts, seeds, beans, soy, whole grains & chocolate. Good luck!! Keep me posted!

Hey great video! I'm sure it varies, but in your experience, how long does it take for folks to see some improvement on the LND? How long would you recommend trying the LND before moving forward with different exclusions?
@nickelallergycoach3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Great question. If you have a confirmed diagnosis of a nickel or cobalt allergy and you have been strict about avoiding all physical contact then I would say give the LND at least 3-4 months. It can take a while. You may also want to avoid foods high in histamine. Good luck!

Hi what should eat in pragnancy like many things should be eat in pragnancy this nickel problem what should we do please must reply
@nickelallergycoach3 жыл бұрын
Focus on eating whole foods. High quality meat, eggs, wild caught fish, dairy, low nickel fruits & veggies. White rice, quinoa and white wheat products with minimal ingredients are low in nickel as well. Multi vitamins are not recommended but speak to you doctor about supplementing with folic acid/folate and other important nutrients/vitamins during pregnancy. I offer free consults if you need more support. Good luck! Congrats on your pregnancy!
