The blender knob blends an under the saddle piezo with a neck position single coil. The Hinge is grounded. The Neck is mahogany with linseed oil finish, burned in position markers, 4 open gear tuners, jumbo zero fret, two large sound holes, internal reinforcement, and a leather strap

I built a 4 string non cb cbg that resembles a boat paddle. I used the middle 4 strings off my 6 string it uses a pickup from a 6 string and a piezo. Surprizingly, it actually sounds pretty good. Looking to build my next one. 😊😊😊

That's some great playing. It's not easy even though the four strings are the same as a regular six string. Your mind still tries to play the chord shapes that use the 5 and 6 strings.

Puckett Cigar Box Guitar The final Tuning I used on my 4 string CBG before converting it into a 6 string was CFAD. CFAD is basically DGBE but dropped down 2 frets.

Del! That was the "funkiest" bit of playing I have heard on a CBG for a very long time! Wonderful stuff, using standard guitar fingering shapes with 4-strings!...So...maybe six strings is 2-strings too many! A bright sound with the thinner gauge strings! I'm liking this! Yeah 6 Strings is now 2 Strings too many, not 3 Strings too many anymore cause with 4 Strings you have more tunings.

It used to be but not anymore because you have more tunings like you can tune it like a Violin but an Octave lower.

Puckett Cigar Box Guitar This 4 Stringer is very well built, & it takes that 3 String design a step further. Of course 4 Strings is no longer 1 String too many cause you have more tunings like Viola/Tenor Guitar (or Banjo) tuning (C3, G3, D4, A4), & also Violin Tuning down an Octave (G2, D3, A3, E4).

It sounded great. Although after I get back on y feet, had surgery on my right foot, I will hopefully get started on a second three string. I will use a humbucker that I bought at the local music store, and I purchased a amp also.
