to make (hurry up) four thieves oil: rosemary, thyme, lavender and sage, chopped up in a pan (sprinkle of ground cloves). cover with almond oil, simmer with the cover on gently 3-4 hours. remove from heat. strain to a bottle through muslin. alternatively use meadowsweet juniper bogmyrtle, mugwort 🌱

@@DanusIrishHerbGarden only 4 hours? you don't say, keep it in the oil, for like a week in the cool oil or so, or a day on low low heat?
@DanusIrishHerbGarden4 жыл бұрын
@@shakaama Usually I allow an oil to infuse over a number of weeks, 2 - 4 but in this case, I heated it very gently on the stove for 4 hours. They are the methods for oil infusion.
@shakaama4 жыл бұрын
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden ah ok. I see. my hearing has gone out, and it seems, it's from the virus. so it was suggested i look into the 4 thieves. but even the "tea" takes a month. also someone else made the oil, by doing a 4 oil, combo, of essential oils. a little confusing, but it seems your method is much faster, right? this infusion.(yes, i know you're not a doctor) so don't be afraid to give me your opinion.
@DanusIrishHerbGarden4 жыл бұрын
@@shakaama An essential oil blend would be the little bottles you get in the health shop. You could buy the four individual oils and blend them - very expensive way to do this for a very small amount. Essential oil is pressed from the plant. An infused oil is different - you are infusing the plants themselves in an olive oil or sunflower or sweet almond oil. This can take a few weeks or you can very gently warm the oil with the herbs in on the stove. The quickest way to get the herbal blend into you would be to make a tea or infusion by hot water. This only takes a few minutes - get your dried herbs, chop finely and put in a pot. Pour over boiling water and cover. Let this infuse for maybe 20 mins and hey presto!. You drink this tea (or water infusion) and take 3 cups per day for immune health.

A while back, I also, made fire cider a multi-herbal one. It is very potent & dosage is a teaspoon in a glass of warm water with honey although some of my family will take it straight either sipping it or downing a spoon full at a time which I don’t recommend. It has become our go to at the first sign of anything and nipped many a cold or sore throat in the bud. My brother dubbed it Jungle Juice
