These guys are the absolute greatest and don't get nearly enough praise. Look at them! Forty years later and still having fun singing their songs. Sadly, three of them have passed on, but they were together for over forty years before needing to change personnel! That is definitely worth something.

+adamweishaupt81 this couldn't be from 2004. I watched a 1999 interview with levi yesterday, and he had already had a stroke. this has to be pre-'98, I think.

this wasnt recorded in 2004- levi became very ill at end of 1999 and really never played after middle of 2000---i would like to know when he played his last full show and where
@JimD567 жыл бұрын
His last FULL public appearance was November, 2000 at Westbury Music Fair, in NY. They played a private show a couple of months later, but Levi wasn't on stage for the entire show. I had the honor of wheeling him to and from the stage at the Westbury show.

would someone who went to this concert please let me know if it as 1998 or 1999---i know levi didnt play from 2000 forward-they were the greatest-but i need to know what year this was and was it his last full concert-please answer me someone who knows--its not 2004 for sure
@JimD567 жыл бұрын
This was around 1998. Lawrence was gone, and Theo was in his place. PBS filmed this for a later broadcast. His last full public performance was November 2000 at Westbury Music Fair, in Long Island NY.

Did Levi made a mistake on 2:35 or he did it on purpose? He sings: "Sugar Bunch honey pie" ????
@maryruggiero28847 жыл бұрын
it was intentional. he does things like that in a lot of his live shows. he's the consummate professional, you can tell he says it very deliberately, which he wouldn't have to do with the correct lyrics...he's sung this song probably 20 million times! Levi is a funny guy!! and what a voice!!
