@@khalidfalvey4148 This music, Motown, started around 1960, when the south was still segregated. Music was segregated, black stations played music by black artists, and white stations played white artists. This music crossed over and black and white fans loved it. The radio was forced to play it. Blacks and whites had a common thing they loved, the music. It brought us together. It was the start of integration. How do you not know this?

Hi John, agree with your number 1 and 2 - but then you have loads more soul groups to add after the Tops & Temps - KTF

Between the audiences reactions and these men jammin and enjoying themselves I smiled throughout this whole performance. As a millennial I wish that I could’ve been alive during these moments. It’s amazing and beautiful to see. ❤️

I saw this show when it aired. It WAS epic. From this performance to Michael Jackson's moonwalk debut. People also forget this show was the Jackson 5 reunion and michael and Jermaine had been estranged for years before this show.

There was obviously so much love between Dennis & Levi, this performance makes that so clear.

It wasn't around late 70s I could finally afford buying a car. It was a 1957 chevy. I turned it into a lowrider and my first song in my cassette player was ( My Girl) by the Temptations. Boy I love that car as much as I love the song. Now at 65, still listen to this hits.

Pure talent and class right here! I especially love Levi Stubbs. What a handsome and talented man. No artist or group today can compare to the legendary Temptations or Four Tops. Love them both. Motown forever!

Love the unity, the words, the respect & most of all their dance techniques their style was impeccable they had SWAG. If this was introduced to the rap culture deaths & violence would be no more 😢🎉

Wonderful. Simply wonderful. I've loved Motown since early 1960' s. These two groups, together with The Supremes, Marvin, Tammi, Martha and her Vandellas, Stevie, and a host of others, make it worthwhile getting up in the morning. Motown occupies a huge chunk of my life, and my heart. Play it every day. Thank you Mr. Gordy, from this ancient white man. PS. I actually got to see Stevie Wonder, and The Temptations, live, in Wales. What great performers they all are.

The golden era of music . I wasn’t born in that era but I know music when I hear, see and feel music, that particular frequency hits the soul.

I remember watching this when it first originally aired in May of 1983. I was 17 years old. It is so surreal looking at this clip now and realizing that the majority of guys on this stage are no longer here any more. The only two up there who are still with us are Otis Williams and Ron Tyson… both from the Temptations.
