Beautiful arts and craftsmanship. Bernard Leach spent his childhood in Japan and Hamada Shōji became partners in bringing these arts to Britain. Bernard Leach was friends with the family of potters who I worked under in the 70's, sharing the same art and styles. Wonderful filming. Thank you.

These people are highly skilled. I have never been in Japan, but I heard from some people that it is very busy and stressful and that people work hard. Perhaps it depends where you go. The people in this video were the opposite of stressful, even though they work hard. They exude such peace that I became calmer just watching them. Thank you for sharing this beauty.

Japanese choose the job they like over the money , that is the main reason they work very hard because they love what they doing . This 81 years old man still building KoTo instrument because he love his trade , his life is live to built Koto , the day he stop is the saddest day in his life . Look at the workshop only seniors Japanese workers around 70’s years old , none are retired and the way they work you can tell how much they love theirs jobs ❤❤❤❤

I enjoy watching the precision and traditional dedication to the crafts so prevalent in Japanese craft industries from glass making, woodwork, carving furniture making and the traditional pottery and music industries that are so Labour intensive yet, define the hard working and dedicated soul of Japanese craftsmen. I particularly love their ,pottery work and making of musical instruments. They cut no corners and the unseen portions of their crafts are met with the same artistry and fine detail of the prominent portions of their work. It is a condition of the Japanese soul to work with such precision and perfection. Japan is a nation where crafts of all kinds can be found that often define this often perfectionist viewpoint and patience that is too often lacking in the crafts of other nations. For instance I recently viewed the repair of ancient pottery pieces on damaged or all but wrecked pottery that were for museums and personal family items. many of the art pieces had been repaired earlier, either by foreign or less dedicated craftsmen and had lost much of their fine detail and beauty. I was amazed at the two craftsmen who worked with such quiet dedication and finesse to not only restore these pieces to a state that was done with such patience and composure that they were returned to their ancient beauty. It was a delightful viewing of the lengths these craftsmen were willing to go in order to restore family heirlooms and museum pieces with such delightful skill and patience. I found myself enthralled by the skills that these craftsmen had at their fingertips and the hours of labour that it took to refine their artistry which they applied to all their work. Often the end results were fa tactic to behold.😊😮😊

@@williamwilson2270 thankyou for your uplifting comment.l have a set of belek(lrish ware,no longer made as the clay from those water meadows dried out nearly 100yrs ago) porcelain egg cups (actually goose egg cups) via my g-g-grandmamas gifting and kept the cracked ones whilst gifting the others to my son's.When the younger was in Japan earlier this year he found a gentleman who is to repair these for me as he was so happy to see the china(was renowned for its being so fine that you can see the light through it.); His only proviso being that l should" trust it's spirit to his care"!I believe their craft ethic comes from their love of what they do,so of course it shows! Awe inspiring craftsmanship in all fields shown. But I can't get past the fact that someone would choose to have a bowl cut that bad. I've never seen one on a person alive in this day and age. Maybe he wears it in some weird kind of way to pay homage to the brushes?! Still, his degree of patience in his Art is nothing short of Godlike. But yeah, that bowl cut is ...Priceless.

РАБОТА... нет, не работа... Священнодействие японских Мастеров завораживает! Какая высочайшая вековая Культура... производства(? не то слово). Чистота стерильная. Инструментики рядочками. Мастера чистенькие. Неспешные. Невольно вспомнился замечательный ролик о работе индийских Ремесленников... При всём уважении к их нелёгкому труду... разница громадная. Хотя результат труда индийских мастеров очень впечатляет. Да там упор на количество... а тут Изделия Штучные! Типа Гварнери, Амати... Слава Мастерам! Спасибо за ролик!

I used to hunt when I was younger. At first it was a tradition and then it became somewhat sporting, later it became food and kept my freezer filled year round. In fact, our family kept a deep freeze outside so if people in the community needed food but didn’t have the funds. It was a very useful idea. Now I don’t live in an area that is that easy for me to get to a safe place to hunt or I would probably spend at least a little time out each year. Thinking back on all the hair that was straight up useless to us. Heck, I may collect my hair the next time I cut it… it’s usually a good 4-6 inches. Maybe try to make myself a good pin-stripping brush or something. Maybe use my wife’s, hers is thinner.
