Imagine acting like Utah doesn't have gangs... naive. While surely the active rate is lower than somewhere like Cali, to run around the Salt Lake Valley with that mentality, especially late at night, could easily get you in trouble. We have Crips, Bloods, and many others just like pretty much anywhere else. Sure, it's the LDS hub. What? You think that keeps the gangs at bay? 😂 We also have cartel activity. Just because things aren't advertised, does not mean they aren't happening. Oh... and let's not forget the biker gangs.

I grew up in central PA. There were students who'd have hunting rifles in their cars because they'd go hunting in the wee hours of the morning then head straight to school. Screw the police and the gun control activists who made the students feel so unsafe that they thought it necessary to bring a gun to school.

Street Terminology for this is called Gangstalking which is a Terminology that the FBI made up to make the Targeted Individual look mentally Ill or on drugs. Had a gun in his car for hunting. That was any day in season when I was a kid and we didn't even think about shootings. It's a parental problem not the kid hunting it's the protection and flashing "gang wannabes problem".

I don't know what the big deal is when I was in high school in the '80s we brought guns to school all the time we left them in our vehicles and they were locked. Lots of kids would go hunting in the morning and then they would come straight to school and they would leave their rifle in they're gun rack in their car or truck. Me personally I carried a knife to school everyday at a 6-in buck knife I carried on my side all the time we never in the history of our school system had a problem with a student pulling a knife or using a firearm against another student. I'll be honest with you people If some of these incidents would have happened at our high school when I was there let's just say we had more firepower in the parking lot than most police departments we would have defended the students there's no doubt in my mind. If we would have had an incident like in Texas I'll promise you it would not have ended the way it did, we would have defended those children, deterrence is a big thing You got to think about that.

Back in the day people were much more level headed and sane. Today, not so much. Kids and adults have a lot of unaddressed mental health issues.

@@randyscrafts8575 I couldn't agree with you more I don't know if it's mental health issues or it's just stupidity, I'm not buying the fact that people say children have it harder now because they don't. Back when I was younger you wanted your mom to drive you to the pool she'd laugh at you If she had a car to even take you in most of the time I rode my bike or you walked. We didn't set inside staring at a phone all the time we got out and played and used our imagination. So I don't think it's any harder these days I think it's a lot easier but the kids are just becoming way dumber and more powder puffed.

People in Utah are shocked about kids bringing guns to school? When 7 year old get them as Christmas and birthday gifts and go shooting and hunting? Ha. Lived 14 years of my life in Utah (no longer) and this doesn’t shock me one bit

@@goofballbiscuits3647 most people do live in rural areas. There are only 10 cities that have a population of 1 million+ yet there are around 350 million total so you do the math. Plus all the states I've been to there are many little cities all over every state. So you obviously don't live in the USA and probably don't know why we have the right to bear arms. Guns have always been a big part of our history. Imagine if the youth learned true history.
