A great demo of the methods. My favorite one is the screen printing. The image clarity/line quality is wonderful. Those hares are very cute 🙂

Hey Ali. Im so glad you liked them. I had to do a couple of tweaks in the techinique to get it the quality better which is how I figured out to coat the stencil with the mod podge. That worked so much better. Give it a go.

I really love, that your idears have no limit. I pick up so much and I am (sadly) no potter, but there is a lot very useful toothercrafts. Thank you.

Very usable techniques in this video. Many thanks. I especially like the "frameless" screen-printing idea to cope with contoured surfaces - a variation on using existing net fabric designs, I guess.

Hi Lance. I have heard some people say they use organza fabric which you. can purchase from the fabric store. I happened to have some screen printing fabric which you can purchase at the craft store. Thanks so much for reaching out...and for watching the video. I appreciate you. 🙂

Another good video, the ideas just keep coming, I don't know how you do it but I'm glad you do, I watched a video of yours before about lino cutting and actually went and brought a kit and some lino squares, so seeing this I'm going to give it a go, thanks Ann, as always x😊😊

Thanks, I have also used that process. Just would love to ever find out how to make the china paint decals that slide onto a glazed piece and get fired a 3rd time.
@annruel19825 ай бұрын
I understand Margaret :-). To make those you would have to have some expensive equipment and materials I would think. If it is a process you think you would really be committed to it might be worth exploring, right. I am thinking most people who watch our channel seem to be looking for the cheapest processes I can think up. 🙂Happy potting to you.

Hi, Ann, I was so excited to see this-just yesterday we worked with gel plates in my printmaking class. Would this process work with stroke and coat on bisqueware? Thank you!
@annruel19825 ай бұрын
Hi Stephanie. What a coincidence. I can only tell you that I have not tried this with stroke and coat. You will have to do some experimenting I am afraid. As far as the clay goes, I was doing it on fresh clay. Im trying to think of what the process will do on bisque,...I am thinking it may be a bit tougher to get a good print unless the piece was a simple cylinder with no handle that you could roll over the plate or maybe a tile that you could press into the plate. Again, you could play around with it and see which works best. Good luck and have fun in your printing class.

On your video on techniques, can I use similar techniques on air dry clay
@annruel19825 ай бұрын
Hi Shirley. Hmm...I really havent done a lot of work with air dry clay. Since all of my clay and materials need to be fired, my techniques are geared toward the firings. I think you would have to alter the techniques for air dry clay. It may take a little experimenting. Good luck

The matt medium you added is it the same that is used for acrylic painting.
@annruel19825 ай бұрын
Hi Veneeta. It is the same as you use with acrylics. Actually, I havent tried it but I wonder if you could substitute it for a glue like mod podge. that might also work. Give them a try and good luck.

Great video as always! I have found adding medium to the underglaze sometimes blocks too much absorbtion when glazing resulting in thin and inconsistant glaze coverage over the print lines if dipped. Do you brush on your clear? I suppose one could bisque fire again before glazing or print it on greenware before bisque to eliminate that issue. That is with mayco medium, does cmc have similar issues?
@annruel19825 ай бұрын
Hey! Im glad you liked the video. I always do the underglazing on greenware and then fire it to cone 04. So all of the medium fires off before I do any glazing. All of these projects are done on greenware. Some are done on fresh and some on bone dry. Try that and you. might have more success. Good luck.

This was great. Did you say you know how to make decals? I could not find a link to that info and would be so interested. Thanks!
@annruel19825 ай бұрын
Hi Margot. Did you see the section of the video where I drew the carrots on paper, then underglazed over the lines, and waited for it to dry? That was my decal. To apply I turned it over and sponged the back so the underglaze transferred. That was what I was calling a decal. You can do this with you own drawings or you can trace whatever image that you want on thin paper ( I used the very thin box packing paper - so it was easily dampened). I hope this answers your question. Thanks so much for watching 🙂. Ann
