Last Century in the 80s & 90s, I went many times to Fowey, why? because I´m a seaman now a retired Captain, and in Fowey in cargo ships, load china clay some times, to my home place of San Sebastian, Basque Country close French border, to a factory of porcelain in Irún, just in the French border, the name of the factory was "Porcelanas Bidasoa". Also load china clay to Italy, Adriatic sea ports (Ancona, Venezia) and to ports of the American Great Lakes like Cleveland, Ashtabula (Ohio) or Buffalo. I´m a very good memory of Fowey and his people, and I remember the china clay cargo dock in the end of the river. Very nice place Fowey, Kind Regards.

I painted a whole set of pictures of various places of cornwall..but I gave them to a relative..but not sure where they ended up. Love the big Georgian house ..be a dream come true living there …that what makes cornwall special the little quaint streets ..untouched by time..my first visits as a child was carbis bay think it’s called..was heaven there ..the sweet smell sea air ..a warm drizzle n a new rain coat bought for me at the time..the seagulls screeching ..there’s no where like it ..on Gods earth ,but then I’m bias…the pasties are my favourite down there.❤

Thanks for your vlog. Thoroughly enjoyable. I shall go to Fowey soon, especially after seeing this! The bird noise is definitely a seagull. 'Fo-ee'... I think you mistyped that you had been pronouncing it 'Fox' 'ey'. Fowey is one place in Cornwall that I don't believe I have been to. I live in Perranporth having moved from Marazion (St Michael's Mount). Xxx

Saw your video by chance tonight. Really enjoyed watching it so I have subscribed to see more videos. How do you keep your camera so still when filming lol mine is all over the place when I'm walking. I've visited Fowey quite a few times whilst on holiday (driven there and been over on the ferry). I always used to say Fowee when I was a young girl on holiday with my sister and our parents (learned many years later that it's pronounced Foy) I love hearing the seagulls, their cries always remind me of Cornwall. Loved walking around the town when I've been there, it's very quaint. Yes it is busy in the summer. Been in the King of Prussia for a few drinks and taken photos of the Ship Inn (some beautiful flowers on the front). Browsed in the local shops and sat along the front watching the boats. Walked to get an ice cream from the 'Game of Cones' as well. Fowey Parish Church is worth a visit too. I didn't know about the 'secret cove' it's very pretty with gorgeous views so will be visiting the next time my partner and I are there. Well done. Looking forward to seeing your other videos x

I can't belive how much fowey has changed :( mountain warehouses, American shops. Eugh. Such a different place now. That salt&pepper place near the church, used to be the Daphne de marau center. Celebrating her life, glad to see the Gul shop stil there, the place you thought was a bank, used to be Lloyd's tsb, and the big building on the left leading down to the king of Prussia used to be HSBC. so many restaurants and shops have changed hands. Shame to see Sam's has gone :( Can't belive you didn't start at caffa-mill by the car ferry! The "secret beach" beach at the end, was the worst beach of the 4 that you could have gone too. When the tide is out, you can go down the steps by the Harbour commissioners gate to the right, to a secret beach. And the one at the end. White house beach is not the best. If you kept walking down the road. You'd have gotten to 'ready money cove' then you'd have been in for a real treat, if you walk to the right hand side of the beach you can climb the steps, through the woods and up to 'Saint Catherine's castle' the view from there would have blown your mind!
