FOX 5 DC reporter covers lockdown at son’s Maryland high school while teen shelters inside

FOX 5’s Bob Barnard has covered news in Washington, D.C. for over 25 years. But on Thursday, the news hit close to home. The veteran reporter was sent to cover a threat at a nearby high school that sent students and teachers into lockdown. The school, Bethesda-Chevy Chase, is right across the D.C. line and is where Bob’s 18-year-old son Jimmy attends.

As a parent of children at Walter Johnson HS, I feel such anxiety and fear for these kids and their parents. Sadly, this has become almost an every day occurance in MoCo now and it's really scary. Thankfully, up until now these bomb threats have been pranks, but what happens when it's a very real threat? 😔

Thats one sleezy father.. all for tv and a story.. a real father would have left work and been at the heads of the police trying to get my son.. this guy wants to get a raise...lol..hes not worried at all..
