According to Finnish mythology, the sweep of the tail of a fox created the Aurora Borealis. Subsequently, the Finnish word for the Aurora is "Revontulet", which directly translates to "Fox Fires" :)

You know how I feel when I watched it? Lemme tell you: When the fox saw the ram become Aries( a constellation ): I had the same feeling as the fox, really excited! When the fox saw that he/she cannot become a constellation and told the Moon that he/she wanted to become a constellation but cannot turn into one of them: I almost cried, actually because it was so sad for the fox! When the fox knew that he/she is not a constellation, the answer for the fox is he/she is the Northern Lights( that's what I call ): I was so happy for the fox! This is based on Nordic folklore. Probs all Nordic countries have similar tales about auroras, but I have a hunch that the name comes from Finnish word for auroras, "revontuli", which translates pretty much directly as "fox fires" or "foxes fires". Norse and swedish have words "nordlys" and "norrsken", respectively, and both translate as "northern light"

This story is the Finnish version. I don't know if other Nordics speak in their stories about lit up fox tail lighting the sky during the dark winter months but our stories do.

This impressive animated short is a right mix of the fantastical and the psychedelic. The end gave me serious flashbacks to the famous ending of Stanley Kubrick's 2001-A Space Odyssey (1968). I can just imagine "Also sprach Zarathustra" playing over the ending of this short. It's uncanny.

I liked the fox, it looks very cute, it is one of the few modern animations that I come to like, plus the protagonist looks a lot like the foxes from the GFTC anime because of the color and shape of his tail, which is very nostalgic.

The mythology in Finnish in origen and I love it so much. Oh and foxes are playful and mischievous animals. In Japanese mythology foxes are known as Kitsune and they are trickster spirits known for their mischievous nature.😍😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘😘 Also foxes and wolves are my favorite animals

Foxes are actually very shy and would try to avoid you instead of attach because if you get hurt in the wild you have a high chance of dying so they try not to get hurt also there nice but still keep a distance because they can still bite and it will hurt but there just trying to survive but I do like foxes there pretty cute little guys and on the complete other end Wolverines I like both animals. But my sights are right to the ocean that's where most of the animals I love live
