FOX Mission Tailgate Pad Walkthrough

I have the overland tailgate pad from Fox and this new design looks like a big improvement over previous gen. I may have to switch it up and grab this.

If you have a 5.5ft bed and wanted to have bikes on the back, would they fit within the trifold cover? You look like you had to flip it up and cover the rear windscreen?

I have a vinyl wrap on my tailgate. Will the backside of this tailgate pad potentially scratch the vinyl wrap? What material is on the backside? Looks like a great pad if it won't scratch it!

You could always put a felt pad or old blanket on the tail gate first, then put the pad on top of that. I feel like that would be a soft buffer in-between the truck and pad.

@@ManmadeM0nster That's probably a good idea but without @FOXFACTORY answering this they probably don't want to assume any liability ( it's probably not as soft on the back as they say) so I will pass on this pad

the backside has a faux-fur material. I haven't run mine yet but my bet is so long as you use enough (or all) of the moveable pads it won't allow any hotspots.

Will the mission allow roll covers to close? I love my overland but I have to take it off in winter so I can close the roll over my skis 😅

I have been looking for a tonneau cover compatible pad so i don't have to take it on an off. But I have Rambox and don't see any reference to that on your site. Rambox makes it so the tailgate is the size of other fill size trucks, but the inside of the bed is closer to the width of a midsize. Is the material thin enough on the inside of outer edges to work? Or is the midsized pad tall and deep enough to cover a full sized tailgate?
