I'm Canadiam. Several years ago while working a night shift in a mental health facility , all was quiet and I turned the TV on. , I was channel surfing and came across FOX news. Nancy Grace was squawking about something but her voice irritated me so much I quickly channged the channel. The next night once again searching for something worthwhile to watch , I happened upon FOX news again but it was a different moderator, easier on the ears. So I listened for awhile and started thinking this was some sort of spoof show and that it couldn't be a legit news channel. I mentio0ned it to my co worker in the morning and asked if they ever wartched it when they were on night shift. My co worker just laughed and said I tried to watch it but it just seems too ridiculous. Couldn't agree more.

Fox is large enough to absorb the cost of this settlement without experiencing a single material consequence in their day to day mode of operation. Future cases against individual on air employees may end up with individual consequences if they are won, but until that time they all experience impunity. The company doesn't even have to change brand of coffee creamer in the break room as a result of this settlement, it will have no effect on overall behavior. They will continue to lie up to the point they believe they can get away with, (which is farther now that they know to avoid off air evidence trails such as emails and texts). There is no stipulations requiring equal air time broadcasts of the truth, or an apology. There is nothing to even hint at a single minute of programming will change as a result. There is no demand from their audience. There is ZERO accountability. The only ones who won were the attorneys and the Dominion bank account. This settlement doesn't make Dominion whole, they are as likely to lose voter confidence from those who never believed the lies as they are to reclaim any from voters who did. But the rival media coverage as some public victory or damage to Fox is proof the media at large knows they can continue their practice of lying to viewers as long as they keep it vague enough not to create individual plaintiffs.. There is no reason to trust any American media going forward.
