Never been a huge fan of Gates, even thought I have been a tech person that followed him his whole life, he is not a dumb person. He has spent billions of dollars around the globe in areas he thought would help the most, and mostly helping with disease. He is definitely smart enough to know what he is talking about, and I guarantee he learned what he knows from talking the the best minds he could find and doing his own research of the subject. To then not want to listen to him because he is giving people news the just do not want to hear and do not want to admit to. Gates says in that comment about closing restaurants, that he really hates to say it, He is not a coming from a political stance, he just wants to be frank about what may need to happen, if you do not want to hear it, then so be it. Also he mentions schools are not as bad, it is because the effect economics more, keeping people out of work and also do a lot of harm to the kids being locked down that long, I have heard people say if you think you can keep kids under control with masks on you are kidding yourself, and generally I may agree, but from the way I have seen adults act in public about masks lately, I would say you have about a 90% more chance getting kids to wear masks and listen to you, than adults that seem to think they never have to listen to anyone ever. I also do not think Gates cares a bit about public opinion, but you can also tell he tried very hard to not say things that are political and still gets shit from the right.

So we'll just listen to Mr. Gates who is possibly predicting that this virus could end around 2022. It's all B.S. My healthcare facility where I work only six out of forty four patients died to other health issues. The rest recovered quickly and our facility is clear of covid outside of mandatory testing and mask wearing of course. Most of the patients just had diarrhea for a week and didn't show any kind of symptoms after that. Just the six patients that would have passed away with just the regular flu that no one talks about anymore and trust me I work for the hospital before and people came in with flu like symptoms every other week and people died. I even said why is this not making news coverage but when covid came around all hell broke loose and what I witness compared to what they say does not add up, I even know a coworker who works in my facility that tested positive had to quarantine with her family and somehow the rest of her family never got sick. All I'm stating here is that I'm not denying a virus but there's a hell of a lot that's not adding up the daily coverage!

South Korea is a case in point. They got it EARLY, because of decent LEADERSHIP. Australia and NZ are similar. The US is simply too late.
