Fox Outdoor Bug-Out Tactical Military backpack unboxing and review

Fox tactical makes great gear at affordable prices. The stitching in their backpacks is solid and they even offer some backpacks constructed of a 1,200 Denier Polyester, which is extremely durable, but a bit heavy for some. I have other budget friendly backpacks that are also worth considering. Mardingtop also makes some great and affordable backpacks. Their 65 + 10 is a large backpack with plenty of great features you wouldn't expect to find on backpacks in it's price range. I've also had good experiences with L.A.P.G. (LA Police Gear), they use a 900 Dinier Polyester fabric and are also well constructed. They are going to the laser cut MOLLE webbing though, and I much prefer the older school MOLLE, such as the example you have here has. I find it much more durable, and easier to attach pouches to. I have is well done and the fabric is Those P-38's are great. I've used them and they work amazingly well. Glad you didn't strike that ferro rod over your backpack, cause those sparks can burn holes into your backpack. Thanks for sharing.

1. This pack would have been so much better if the cantina were metal so that you could boil water to kill bacteria, or to make a stew as food supplies go farther as a stew. 2. That was a vague description of how to take a bearing with a compass, Not really a part of this review I know, but for anyone reading this there are tons of videos on taking a bearing and using a compass online and EVERYONE should know how to use a compass! Keep one in your car incase you ever need it and one in your backpack at all times! I am suprised at how nice of a compass they included. Most places would probably have tossed in a base plate compass with no sighting so that's very nice. Nothing high end but far better than I would have guessed. Those reenforced strips appear to be molly strips for attacking other packs or accessories. The hammock is a very nice touch. Most people don't know but even in 50-60 degree weather laying on the ground can can cause mild hypothermia because the earth will suck the heat out of your body and if you have not had a high enough calorie intake your body can't stay warm. If your up off the ground that process is much slower, even though we usually feel like the wind is worse, it's not. Things that are missing: a water proof crank powered flashlight. A crank powered weather/survival radio. A simple first aid kit. These would easily jack the price up another 30-40 bux though and you can add them on your own so understandable. A few other things you should drop in a go bag that you might need. Jerky, Notebook and pen, star charts, a good wind-up pocket watch(batteries can fail). I like to keep a 9v battery or two and some steel wool. In a hurry this is a better faster and easier to use fire starter than a flint. A GOOD survival knife, my preferred is an ESEE 6. A space blanket as they are very compact and can save a live if chilly conditions. I love fox tactical, their tactical map pack is in my wish list. This is a pack that should last you a lifetime easily. I cannot imagine why Pete would want black instead of cameo in a big city. Nice review Pete!

Most of the junk inside looked like it was pulled from a dollar store, still useful, did not understand why you needed a friken keyboard, thebag looked ok.
