Either size should fit you well but I would recommend the large/x-large. Starting at 0:54 in this video we go over sizing the the measurements of the model to give you a better idea on how it will fit on you.

Would the back protector be different length in each size or are they the same size across the range.?

I am very interested in the Y-Strap to have the possibility to drive the Impact without the back protection (when i take my protected backgack). I didn't get this Y-Strap with the Impact D3O - Is it possible to order that part separately from Fox? Further, I would love to see a version with plastic protection in front and back but with 3DO inlays

The standard RaceFrame only has a plastic back protector and NO D3O inlays. As for the Y strap, you probably need to reach out to Fox directly to see if they have just that piece for sale.

I'm currently using Leat Adventure vest. I'm on a DH bike. How good is the "foam" against punktures?? Cuz one of the reasons I'm using hardshell is if I fly off my bike in the bush, I want as much protection I can get against twigs, branches pointy roots and such. I know the foam gets hard at impact, but does it work in same way with a "stab" so2say?

Either size should fit you fine. Our model in this video is 6'1" 185 lbs. is in a large/x-large and fits him fine. We also have another rider who is 6'0" 170 lbs. and chose to wear the small/medium size.

So the rear arms of my Leatt neck brace go under the back protector?

It depends on the chest protector that you are wearing. For the Fox Raceframe softback, you could probably get away with the rear supports on top. Most of Leatt's chest pros have a removable insert on the upper back for a neck brace.

For ADV use with a jacket over top, would you recommend this unit or the Alpinestars A-4 Max? Or something else? Mainly I want chest protection in the event of a crash off road. Thanks!
