Just started coarse fishing properly again maybe after 15 years out. Took my boy for his first session. I tried spinners for the first time the other day and caught my first pike, I’m still over the moon about it haha, amazing feeling! Its got me wanting to try some of these other methods and I like the idea of using lite gear. Looks fun.

I've just got a 6ft telescopic rod. Never used lures before. I'm off riding along the Trent and Mersey canal tomorrow. Going to take my rod with me and have a little fish

Without doubt my number one lure on the canal is the salmo spiky Shad I have never used a lure that gives so much feedback to the rod tip it has even had me a few coalies in the salty stuff aswell, I really do wish they done a larger size

Catch hundreds of wee pike like that in my canal. Can’t seem to get any bigger no matter what I try. Even big lures catch tiny pike. Still fun though.
