You can buy many many things like tvs, radios, drawing books etc. There's also health care, dental care and eye care. You can even get jobs in prison and continue to get your highschool education and college or university education. Also you get 3 meals a day and a roof over your head. TBH as long as your not a child molester or rapist or anything that would make other prisoners wanna kill you then you'd have it pretty good in there. It's basically a very long sleepover

I just wish the police would be able to arrest them all, that would be amazing. I know that, at least where I live, the police are not “racist blood thirsty killers” like the media says they are. A lot of people just go off what the news says, or a certain time frame someone decides to show you. @@chrisk.5964 Yeah, that's not true. While it is true that most (see 90+%) prisons have kitchens ran by inmates, not all do. Some places have actual kitchen staff who are government employees. This especially applies to juvenile facilities like detention centers (basically kid jail for short term stays and waiting for court) and training schools (kid version of prison, though they're nowhere near as bad as adult prisons). The food isn't great in those facilities, but it is an improvement over the slop served in adult facilities. There are also some rare adult facilities that have kitchen staff, like the prisons which house elderly and infirm inmates. I've been volunteering in adult and juvenile facilities for over a decade now and have seen a shit-load of them. So I do know what I'm talking about on this one.

Watch 14 Days of May. It's a 1970's documentary available for free online. It follows inmates on death row all the way up to their executions and even shows the chambers being tested on animals. The main person it follows is Edward, an innocent black man who was gas chambered for 'killing a white woman'. It's heartbreaking and really drives home why the death penalty is not to be supported. Up to 75% of the people on death row are thought to likely be innocent.
@miahh92487 жыл бұрын
I can’t decide whether I agree with death row or not, I live in England and it’s illegal here but I believe some people deserve to die but if someone is framed and killed for something they didn’t do then how can you even begin to justify taking someone’s life away, that is the main reason it’s illegal here
@oro71146 жыл бұрын
Well having the death penalty doesn’t lower a counties crime rate and the fact of the matter is innocents will die in any imperfect system. It’s arguably even better for societies to keep people such as pedophiles alive and tested on in hopes of finding a cure than to simply execute them.

Hiba Yacoub but why should they bother waiting like 80 years fir them to die and having to pay for stuff when they could just kill them there and then

Actually, research has shown that it costs the state MORE to kill someone than to have them spend the rest of their lives in prison, with appeals, stays of the execution, legal battles, etc. It is literally more cost effective to keep them in prison for life.
