A couple more helpful tips; Know or write down all your prescriptions medications and dosages in case you get separated from your medicine cabinet. If you can't evacuate with all your important personal documents, unplug your dishwasher machine and put them inside, close firmly. If your dishwasher keeps water in, it will keep water out. Just keep in mind that if it's the portable kind, it will float.
