You do understand that when/if someone is found not guilty by reason of insanity (as would be the case if she were able to successfully make this claim) that people are still sentenced - they're just sentenced to being locked up in a mental institution instead of prison - and when that happens, there is no set sentence - they're in there for however long it takes for them to no longer be a danger to themselves or others, including if that means for the rest of their life. And there are no appeals like there are when you're sentenced to prison. It almost always results in a longer sentence than if they were found guilty and sentenced to prison. So, yeah. "Mental breakdown" doesn't mean not holding her accountable. Too many people live in this fantasy world where they think otherwise. That isn't real and it has never been real. You've believed lies all your life if you think it ever has been.

She repeatedly rammed into any car she could. She finally parked her car, a neighbor nice drove her to her doctor’s appointment. It wasn’t long after that that her house was sold. I assumed her adult children took over.

The reporter around 2:10 starts talking about the car being disabled and the airbags going off only when she started slamming into the cars AGAIN. That's a long time for a vehicle to be wrecked in the front before the airbags went off. How was that vehicle still driveable at those speeds, with that much front end damage??

I've worked with developmentally disabled people for years, and it grates on me when the suggestion is made that a person could be mentally ill without an evaluation. It's a disservice to the mental health profession and to those who actually suffer. It looks to me that this woman was pissed off enough about something to intentionally cause damage and injury, but now a dozen people, including her defense attorney, will point to her "long history of mental issues" which are just a collection of anecdotes.
