Yes, he's much better off where he is now. I don't think the rescues should announce they are filming the premises and are going to the police as it will deter people from leaving their pets there in the future. Best just to do things under wraps. Also, I doubt this woman will be charged with anything if the puppy is healthy and not injured.

The person in the house saw something outside the house and went to the door amd found a baby child in the bag. Human or animal, people no longer have a conscience. Visit your local shelters. They're all overflowing. Adopt if you can and Foster if you can't adopt. Fostering is usually short-term for the dogs that are too stressed to be in the shelters or are trying to recover from an illness and need a quiet place to stay for a few weeks or less.

I can’t believe how hard he was treated it’s difficult to watch. I know I have two cats that my adult son brought home to me two cats that were abandoned in an empty house, hungry scared two twin cats female. I’ve been trying to get them neutered and scheduled, it’s so frustrating because I can’t afford to get them both neutered and looked at. But I have certain times to get them fixed it’s not a problem but I can’t get an appointment with the first Monday online in Sacramento California, I called and it’s busy all morning. I feel bad because it’s been hard taking care both cats plus I have a seven year old black cat who doesn’t like any other cat’s animals and people 😢I would never throw them away like this women yet it’s not fair for them and it’s hard to find appointments for cats near me.

I'm not sure it's a good idea for media to broadcast things like this as it will deter people from leaving their pets at rescues and, instead, they might choose even worse alternatives. Take care of the puppy and if a crime has been committed go to the police with it. But don't announce you are filming the premises and are going to put people on blast.

So we will see if she she will be charged with neglect and even at that nothing will really happen to her. It will just mean in the future people won't dump their animals at rescues and they will do worse. Also, I said they shouldn't broadcast what they are doing. I wish the pup had not been treated so harshly. That hurts my heart😢. I have to give her cudos for leaving the dog at the shelter opposed to dumping the pup in the streets or worse yet, thrown in a dumpster or over a bridge. Clearly she didn't want her dog. I'll never agree with the rough handling of that pup or any animal, yet I believe she chose the more humane option to those she had available to her by leaving the pup at the probably over-filled shelter. The Moses/Safe Have Laws allow parents to relinquish their babies at fire and police stations. We do this for our human baby counterparts. Why not our pets, too? Dont they deserve that, even at to an already filled shelter if it means they don't get thrown in the river or dumpster inside their carrier? Dumped along the side of a rural road?

Because their costs for caring for the animals has become so high. And if you are also willing to spend some money for a beloved pet, it's a good indication you are serious & will care & love the animal for all of their days, as it should be. PLEASE adopt! NEVER go to a breeder before heading to a shelter or reaching out to a rescue organization. There are so many "purebreds" in shelters now, if that's what you want.

I hope that woman (and all people who do such things) are unveiled on social media so they can be publicly shamed. Things happen. Sadly sometimes even beloved pets need to be given to new homes or relinquished to a shelter or rescue. I wish it never happened. I wish people all viewed pets as a part of the family and made backup arrangements for them and accepted their care as a lifetime responsibility. But I do understand sometimes things happen that are so far beyond your control that it is actually better for the pet to have a second chance at a family than to remain. Therefore I try not to judge. However, the way that dog's carrier was tossed down as if it were trash - without any care and without a second glance -that says so much about the person who left it behind. She had already moved on to the next thing and had erased any care about the dog from her mind. I truly hope that the poor baby finds a life with a family that will treat it like the precious baby that it is.
