Dog "Adopted" Baby Deer And Raised Her As His Own | Cuddle Buddies

Ludovica is a deer who was adopted by her new dog sibling, Leo. Leo showed her around the farm and took on a father role to her. When Lu was found, she was all alone and her mother never came back for her. So Juliane and Leo decided to look after her. After some time of Leo teaching Lu the ropes, it was time for Lu to make her way back to the forest.

Vizlas are brilliant creatures. Ours passed over during covid and was a major loss. We fostered a few dogs while their owners were ill, and she always amazed me how she looked after them all, showing them everything and, in one case, teaching them how to play. Amazing dogs.

Collars on any animal tends to me it's an animal that has a human. Pretty sure most hunters would avoid shooting the animal. Like seeing a tagged bird.

I've always felt sad for our four-legged friends, because they're forced to walk around using all their limbs and are thus denied many expressions of affection we humans enjoy. Then I noticed that they have figured out how to compensate for this. They lick. When they're moved by affection, it would be difficult for them to embrace, or use hands to caress, or to hold the object of their affection. So not much is left but to lick, and that's what they arrived at. And it's very sweet, and we all know what it means.

Knowing that Magyar Viszlas are known to be natural born hunters, this is even more surprising. Maybe hunting is nothing instinctive, but something that is deliberately taught. At least killing seems to be something Magyars do not instinctively. Ours never understood why the mice they brought us would't move anymore and asked us to "repair" them like teddybears. They had now idea they had killed them with their fang teeths.
