First, I am absolutely NOT defending this woman. What I want to explain is the "ice tiles" she purchased. They are artificial ice. Essentially, plastic tiles that are smooth, slick, and work well for ice skates. These tiles do not last indefinitely but they do stay skateable long after the weather warms up. Do I think she should have spent any money on this??? Absolutely not! Total waste!

In case anyone has forgotten, it can take years sometimes for the FBI to get all the evidence collected and sorted. A great example was given here, Lightfoot’s team couldn’t get the receipts for a lot of the purchases. The FBI can get those, but only if the banks and merchants have copies of them. Because banks and merchants are typically understaffed and the receipts are archived, it can take a long time to get everything.
