The City of Chicago did the same thing on 63rd and Halsted to relocate Kennedy King College. Closed dozens of businesses that had been in the community for years. I hate to hear they are planning to displace so many small businesses.

I know! I grew up going there in the 90s..there was a stand that sold fruit and shakes that was soo good waaay before all the Michoacanas started popping up...and the CDs back when that was how we got our music. Its so odd seeing the new trendy storefronts....
