18-wheeler driver accused of killing woman in suspected DWI crash in Fort Worth

The driver of a semi-truck has been arrested, accused of driving drunk that killed a woman and injured a man in a Fort Worth crash. Police say the crash was completely avoidable.

As a truck driver its a shame I’ve been driving for two years now and I see a lot of drivers who drive with their phones in their hands, and I could literally see most of them are scrolling though videos like tik tok videos or whatever it may be. Everyone in this world is distracted but it’s especially dangerous for truck drivers to be on their phones especially with a heavy load we can’t stop on a dime we literally have to be more vigilant of our surroundings because we cause more damage

This morning, I was driving behind a trucker who was driving erratically on 35W. He was swerving across both lanes, and at first, we thought he might have been tired. However, when we passed a construction site with police presence, he suddenly straightened up and drove normally. But when we reached the 35W - 35E split in Denton, he came to a complete stop in the middle lane. I couldn't wait to get past him because something was definitely off. Now I wonder if he was drunk too! 🥴
