in public school in new mexico i taught many students whose parents were here illegally. though some could read english, almost none could (english or spanish, i speak and read both), assimilation was never a family value. there were so many of these families (1 or 2 kids born here legally to anchor down, then they bring they whole fam up) where i lived that they had their own softball leagues!! they never integrated with Whites or Americans. every wednesday after their teams left the softball field complexes, the fields, dugouts and parking lots were littered with trash. everyone else was able to find the several trash public trash bins every other night, but part of south american culture is to resent and bear contempt for and denigrate america. they teach it to their kids: take from america, wave the home flag, never forget your proud latino heritage. after traveling throughout south america, their countries too are covered in a layer of trash. they should stay where their culture is more familiar.

Our tax dollars shouldn't be paying to teach them English. They shouldn't be allowed in unless they can speak English. We are an English speaking country. Speak all the foreign languages you want at home and in your personal time (our family does) but we dont have to use our tax money to teach in all these different languages of people who come here.
