My Dad was a sailor, a weekend warrior sailor, but a sailor none the less. That kind of connected me with this. I do have a question. The funerals I have been too, the one I remember, after the funeral there a pot luck dinner. Did they have something like that? Not sure if it's a country thing to do, but it does get people talking to each other.

I agree with all the comments about President Jimmy Carter. I'm so happy that he got to live up until his last days in Plains Georgia where he grew up and that he wasn't threatened by anybody because everybody loved him. I don't believe he even needed anybody to protect him after he wasn't the President anymore and after all of these years. He was a true and faithful servant of God. I loved that he was leading Bible Studies at the church in Plains Georgia. God bless you Jimmy Carter and your wife Rosalyn and the Carter family 😁

What a shame that a person as great as Jimmy Carter is, is finally given the accolades he so justly deserved while he was alive. That seems to be the way.
