@@Cwgrlup True, but it bothers her obviously, and it was traumatizing. My parents are surgeons. we came upon a log wreck first When I was about six or seven years old the people in the car in front of us were hit with logs and I remember my dad always keeping his medical bag in the trunk. First time and last time I ever saw my parents completely shaken. They sobbed once they got back in the car and 911 had completely taken over. I don’t know how long they did compressions. My mom was on the woman and my dad was a man and everything else that they could do. Let us pray for you guys and love you. We know you’re not bulletproof.

@@TheGoldenV-bl9pjActually, as curt as DraggonCanoe might sound, they are 1000% correct. The victim had an uncontrolled, massive bleed from his heart being lacerated. The hearts sole function is to pump blood throughout the body. The purpose of chest compressions is to push on the heart, once it has stopped beating in order to get the blood circulating to the vital organs. If you have a massive hemorrhage that is not stopped and you’re doing chest compressions, in essence, what you’re doing is pumping what little blood volume might be left out of the victims body. The only way to possibly even have the slightest of chance that this kid would be saved, would have been for this to occur in a trauma bay with a trauma surgeon and an entire team. Even then, the chances would have been slim to none.

Chest compressions rhythms are surprisingly hard (especially if you don't have anyone else to take over) to keep if you don't have a song to keep that timing.... Most of the time, we are told to sing to ourselves: staying alive. I know it's silly but it does help when things get crazy. Listening to what the stabbing wounds are... Agreed, I honestly thought in mentioning her husband's knife he was trying to say that was the knife used to murder that young man,.. what was all that about the younger people shouting at her husband for picking up the googles ? All I can think is that he's trying (needlessly imo) to cast doubt in the jury's mind I thought she held herself together well, she may well be used to trauma & death as a nurse, but you don't expect to be battling to save the life of an otherwise healthy young man when your enjoying a family trip on the river... Don’t forget the CNAs , I always notice how CNAs get no credit being a CNA is most important part of staff because they are the ones who spend 100% of the time with patients from taking vitals , bathing , changing diapers if patient is incontinent, feeding if patient can’t feed themselves, making sure combative patients don’t get hurt or fall out of bed , ect they do basically everything it’s CNAs whose report in ADLs allows doctors to know if patient is eating , healing , ect which allows nurse to give meds or believe me nurses would never have time to give meds or shots if they had to do everything I mentioned and more plus CNAs hold hands of loved ones who are passing and we clean them so funeral home or morgue can come for them ! That being said nurses and CNAs are integral very important of the running of a hospital, nursing home , ect and a job not for everyone because you need a strong stomach , but most importantly patience and compassion because if you don’t have those then your better off doing something else bring it’s a profession with so many ups and downs in one day so imagine doing it day after day 😊

What I cannot get over from the older man however is punching that girl. He started the physical altercation by hitting that first girl. Had he NOT done that, the other kids wouldn't have attacked him. Everyone in this case was wrong, but the stabbing took a kids life and he will pay for that. Also, I'm a grown man, if I see one of my friends getting beat down by kids, better believe Im gonna haul ass over there and help fight the kids... but no one came. It is difficult to take a knife and shove in a persons body…even more difficult to withdraw it…slashing motion going deep enough to slice a heart in half takes intent…this is NOT just self defense…my husband has always carried a pocket knife…but it would never done the damage as this murderer did…and nickolai severely injured multiple people in short moment of time…what is missing in this story??

She deserves some sort of recognition from the state. She’s truly a hero who has to deal with this insane trauma. She gives me hope that there’s people out there who will step up and help. Run towards the screaming instead of away like so many do. I’m so impressed with her professionalism on the stand. I hope there is justice. The parents must be somewhat comforted by the fact that this amazing person was with their son in those moments. My heart is so heavy for everyone involved.

i am also a registered nurse. i have seen some very sad cases with kids working in the emergency room. it really disturbs me when defense attorneys or prosecutors try to take blame away from obvious criminals and even have the audacity to make it look like the witnesses spouse had something to do with the altercation. shame on the second attorney for his line of questions about the snorkel mask. it has nothing to do with the case. a man slashed numerous people and deserves to be punished. end of story.

@@scooptpoop he started the violence by hitting a girl (90 lbs) in the face and running up on them and keep re approaching them when they stated they wanted him to leave. Do you approach kids who fear you and want you to leave too? That sound predatory and pedophily He was CLEARLY hellbent on stabbing kids The video of the gutting really showed that!!! He knows how to gut and CLEARLY did it before. NOWADAYS the United States of AIPAC are full of psychopaths wanting to murder and stab or call the police to shoot somebody for them. Society has fallen apart there and you wish.to impose this sickness upon the rest of the world May you change your tone when you lose your loved ones

Did anyone see the video? The man was looking for his phone when the teenagers harassed and assaulted him while the cameraman egged them on. He was hit and thrown down and he did act ins elf defence. Guilty verdict is outrageous.
