I also think he's not utilizing the law library at all in jail because if he had, he'd understand what a motion is and that he's representing himself "Pro Se" not "Pro per" (whatever that is) I remember when he said he was representing himself and when he said "Pro per" the judge corrected him and yet he still says it. That tells me he thinks he's smarter than a woman with a decade plus of education and experience as a criminal defense lawyer and criminal court judge. Plus him saying she's violating his First Amendment rights when he obviously doesn't get that just because he has the First Amendment right to free speech doesn't mean there aren't laws and rules of decorum for court proceedings that supercede certain rights. He can't enter random evidence and say whatever he wants without consequences. Freedom of speech doesn't protect you from the consequences of your words and he's not getting that. He has more grounds for a mistrial with her allowing this circus to continue and allowing him to destroy his image and his social representation in front of the jury as well as by allowing him to delay the trial like he is. That sure sounds like ego to me. I assume her motivation is the attention and the popularity that media sensation trials like this has become tend to gain, in addition to the popularity, fame and attention the judges on those cases tend to gain as well. Do not assume that because she is a judge she is beyond that. You’d be appalled to know the monstrosities committed by judges over the years in regards to a thirst for media attention and fame. They are literally politicians in robes. Having a case as big as this and gaining this reputation as being so merciful and so saintly with the defendant could easily become her future cape. It could also easily become her future match, the match that strikes to the fuel she’s pouring on by continuing this charade. If I’m a teacher and I allow a student to disrupt class every single day, (which, if you’ve been watching since day one you will see this has been an every single day occurrence, even on zoom, she’s had to mute him, and she took way too long to do that ) , and every single day I spent 99% of the classroom time allowing a student to argue with me, disrupt my class, and disrupt my lesson-- am I at fault at the end of the day when the student fails or is the student? I AM. Because I’m the teacher, I am in charge of the classroom and I’m _choosing_ to entertain the repeated disruption and the interruptions of the lessons so as to go back and forth all day with the student verses exhibiting my powers and my duties as the teacher and pulling the student from the class for their own benefit and acquiring a means of teaching for them that allows them to get through the lesson and also respects the rest of the students in the class. The student is not to blame in that case- while they would be at fault for their own behavior, it is not their fault that they were allowed to behave that way throughout the life of the lesson - or attempt thereof. Any judge worth their weight would be ashamed of this circus and her leniency. The repeated claims that this is about preventing any appeal are just people repeating what they saw trending during the Depp vs Heard case. Big difference, btw, between those proceedings and that process verses here. This is not about future appeals. And you, as a judge, are not supposed to base the handling of your current case on future “what if’s” regarding appeals. That’s not justice. That lowers the ability to remain present, fair and balanced. If that is the case than it is only further proof she was given that robe way too soon. But it’s not the case. Appeals are difficult to acquire with the exception of death penalty sentences. A mistrial is my fear. And she is doing more to HELP him gain a mistrial than she is to prevent one. I would never have thought a mistrial possible if not for her ridiculously unprofessional handling of this trial.

@@taniele84 she's not putting justice at risk, she's ensuring it. If she let her temper get the better of her or even introduced for a moment impartiality she introduces doubt to the jury. By allowing him enough rope to hang himself, and he is definitely doing that, she's avoiding trouble. Plenty of judges have gotten in trouble for being to quick to call contempt or be too harsh on those representing themselves (even though they're idiots and deserve it) It's not about appeals, it's about the jury. THE CONSTITUTION TRUMPS ALL COURT PROCEDURES. THE GUY EVERYONE IS CALLING STUPID IS THE ONLY ONE WHO UNDERSTANDS HIS ACTUAL POWER IN THAT ROOM.
@kevinduveneck15042 жыл бұрын
@@snowangel1066 freedom of speech does not give you you the right to disrupt a court proceeding. Just go into a library sometime and start yelling and see how long it takes for a cop to show up and escort you out. Start creating a disruption at a movie theatre, a restaurant, or city council meeting and see what happens. There are rules and procedures in place in order for things to move along in an orderly fashion.
@snowangel10662 жыл бұрын
@@kevinduveneck1504 your analogy does not apply. He has the right to be heard in his trail as laid out by the constitution. Decorum does not trump the constitution. Actually you can argue in court that yelling in the library is allowed and take it all the way to the Supreme Court. LAW IS NOTHING BUT INTERPRETATION AND YOU ALLLOW TO INTERPRET IT. It’s how the good ol boys get off all the time and delay things in court all the time. Even trump is doing it yet you all don’t give a crap when they and senators do it… because your all b@tches who bow down to suits and ties as if they are somehow better than you. They are only human like you and I. Fair trials for all or none. That’s all I’m saying. I’m not rooting for his innocence…

I think he's trying to prolong the trial by bringing up every possible argument. Also, he may be trying for a mistrial. Love the judge.

That will be VERY unlikely

The judge was very aware of that, hence her patience and grace. To make it a waterproof case he can't appeal.

Love that this man who clearly has no respect for women get schooled by them in front of the nation on a daily basis.

@@pandabearmadness6263 I think she is trying hard to respect him. And he has a right to represent himself now most of these questions he could be asking his lawyer to explain to him but god almighty after all this behaviour I couldn’t see a dog even wanting to be near him with all the prattling on and on. He never shuts the f##k up !! I don’t know what is going to happen but I do think there should be someone sitting in for him in court anyways if he is In another courtroom. If you saw a mother in the grocery store with a spoiled brat child who was rude to other customers and managers, throwing tantrums and lying on the floor . . . and this mother only spoke soft gentle words of rebuke to her son, would you say she was a patient mother? Would you say that she deserves an award? By allowing Mr. Brooks's awful behavior she is supporting his behavior. This is judicial leniency for a white hating racist murderer taken to an absurd extreme. This is no way to run a courtroom.
