l used to work for Baltimore City Public Schools with 4th graders, back in the late 90's only two months. The principal wanted me to change grades even though some of the children couldn't read. The Teacher before me probably went along with this scam, to keep her job. When l had a discussion with the principal about some of the children that couldn't read to comprehend an assignment. This foolish woman told me long as the children can write my work off the board, that was okay. She told me you only been here for two months and don't understand. l told her l understand that l'm not going to prison for changing grades. After l fussed her out l got up, told her l quit and when back to teach Childcare students. It's all about money in their pockets and forget the education for children, so grateful l left.

WOW! Glad you had a heart and sense not to do illegal stuff like that! That’s why the kids are not educated because they are being passed without learning.

Same shit happening in Mesa public schools in Arizona. I started to refuse to sign my kid’s daily progress report because it was a lie and the same thing has been written on it for the last 5 months of the school year. I confronted the teacher about it and the teacher acted all surprised as if it was the truth of how my daughters day was going while in school.

My son is grown now, but when he transferred from Baltimore County to the Baltimore City School System, it was ALWAYS a battle for things to run smoothly. Whether it was half-assed paraprofessional services (a one-on-one), transportation (which was a nightmare all the way up to his junior year), or getting my son out of classrooms that had students out of control and the teachers terrified to do anything about it, it was quite the challenge. I thought the shotty culture of how the city's schools were run would have improved by now, but it just seems to have gotten worse. I didn't think that was possible! This is so frustrating and sad.

It’s sad because ALL these superintendents are partying at these events. Outside at these damn block parties. Everytime a camera pulls up about their dirty deeds, they run away.

Not at all! People are aging SO much better than my grandparents’ generation of people as a millennial due to having more knowledge and keep in mind you can easily live another 40 to 60 years if you’re not too particular about your health and ive never met a nurse dumb enough to fall for “trendy diets,” which don’t work. I’m almost 40 and considering doing same thing because of natural interests and predictable future boredom.

These teachers should be fired and so should these administrators. As a parent, who also has a child with an IEP these districts are MANDATED that they follow the guidelines that this child's medical doctor has outlined for them to attend school just like every other child. The state provides financial assistance for the district to provide care for any child with an IEP, so my questions are 1) where's the money the state has given the district for his care and 2) who is the child's school advocate and why have they not followed through on making sure the district does what they need to do? I hope this get's fixed.

As a disabled person due to a neurological disorder of the 🧠 I know for a fact that they don't help you or anything they will push you up each grade then after giving you the new that your permanently disabled they just stop doing everything including giving you your SSI when you need it the most because there isn't any job out there willingly going to hire someone with most types of disabilities it's sad really how we get forced forward without any real help or tools at our disposal to actually help us with going through the day to day life regular people just don't understand
