The real estate agents are buying homes as an investment and they offer kick backs to employees at the mortgage companies for referrals. They verify the pre approved loan amount to get the maximum amount. Then if they don't get the price they want they lie and start all over with new customers who are pre approved for high amounts. Vacant properties might be offered to renters until the investor finds a buyer. They have numerous strategies but still a sin Leviticus 19:35

An eviction moratorium isn't even necessary when there is financial aid in place to those who qualify. The moratorium allows those who DON'T qualify to take advantage of it. I've had enough of having my property rights trampled, and my rental contract voided. Once the eviction moratorium is lifted, I am taking my affordable rental off the market. I might even sell it to a commercial enterprise who will then jack up the rent to cover their risk. This is what all you free loading tenants will get in return for having "free rent".

I'm one of those tenants who struggled with rent and received help here in Florida. Many I know took advantage of the system and ignored the fact that ultimately the help would run out. They were making in some cases twice the money on unemployment (couple working) getting almost 1200 a week on unemployment. They went out to clubs, beaches, dining out and then skipped out on the rent. I saved and conserved, stayed up to date on rent and even though I'm now working paying much less than the job I had, but, because I'm responsible I'll be able to keep paid up.

I'm a social worker and have been getting angry or by the day with all the people that have done just this. I mean they just acted like it was the end of the world and completely stopped paying rent for literally a year. If you go on these forums these crazy liberals say I'm an a****** and want to report me for being an unethical social worker with no compassion. It's not compassion to be upset about people just not paying rent and being rude to the landlords. Super crazy how many people have done this. All while other people have truly had emergencies that required rental assistance and they are unable to get it.

I remember a story in which a mother and her teenage daughters were about to be evicted or have their house foreclosed on (I don't remember which) if they didn't come up with a certain amount of money. So they decided to rob a bank and made off with $20k. More than enough to pay the overdue rent/ mortgage payments. So how much money did they put towards the rent? NONE! NOT EVEN ONE DIME! Instead, they went to Vegas and lived like ballers before they were caught. So basically, you're dealing with people who don't believe in personal responsibility and expecting something for nothing.
