When John Kerry was a small time Massachusetts politician, you could count on him every year showing up at the Boston Marathon starting line in Hopkinton. His coat holder would wave to the local security team to allow him access to the runner's corrals. Of course, he would be looking around looking for the nearest TV camera so he could show his face and get some free TV camera time. It was so funny as runners from other countries would be looking at him wondering why this person dressed in street clothes was in a large group of people dressed to run a race. Never accomplished anything to help Massachusetts.
