@@906AKORN it's just the fact, he was a lifetime criminal who robbed and stole for a living, take a look at the court documents. He was in other people's houses repeatedly in the middle of the night. Then when he's finally caught he punches the guy in the face who is trying to find out why he is in his neighbors home at midnight. Yeah, real stand up guy.

@@theycallmenick The suspect was indeed a criminal who used the guise of "jogger" to case potential places to rob. However, any punches that occurred happened when the suspect lunged for the shotgun. Prior to this recorded moment, Roddy Bryan physically hit the fleeing suspect with his truck hard enough to make a dent (assault with a deadly weapon and first act of aggression). Bryan stated he thought the suspect was trying to get in the vehicle, but also stated he was trying to cut off the suspect. Surveillance shows running the suspect into the ditch at one point as he continues to flee. Whether one thinks it is a car jack or not is subjective. Forensics confirmed that the contact at that point with the suspect was hard enough to make a dent in the truck. This gave the trespasser/burglar/suspect a choice of either fleeing towards the truck that already assaulted you or fleeing towards the armed gunmen blocking the road with a shotgun. People keep leaving this part out pretending Bryan was merely filming. Forensics proves he was not just following and filming a fleeing trespasser. After they hit the fleeing suspect with the truck (hard enough to make a dent), and failed to cut off the suspect 3 times, they testified they drove around the subdivision to cut off his pathway, stopped truck in middle of road to block 4th attempt to flee, got out of car brandishing a shotgun to make a final attempt at a physical confrontation at all costs. They are responsible for the consequences of their excessive actions that escalated the situation and contributed to the death of the trespasser.

@@christianperkins39 So many issues with what you said. Firstly there is zero proof anyone hit anyone else with the vehicle. Arbery could have punched the car for all we know, a dent is no definitive proof. Second, if you actually look at the route the car took in trial, presented by the prosecutor, you see that your "4th attempt to flee" is completely made up. There was one single time that Travis caught up to Arbery, passed him, then parked in the middle of the road. You can break up a straight line into as many points as you want, the route was still one big loop from A to B where Arbery was passed. Once travis parks his car, Arbery has literally every direction to go except directly at travis. He can go right, left, he can continue down the street, remember it's 2 lanes. He chose to punch a man and try and disarm him. At this time the only "crime" travis can conceivably have committed was detaining someone, although it was legal because Arbery was a burglary suspect at the time. Once you punch a man and take possession of his weapon by putting your hand on it, you've committed a 2nd felony. Travis does not fire a single round in defense until a felony suspect commits a second felony upon him.

@@theycallmenick To imply there is zero proof on Investigator Dial's conclusion about the dent and contact, but insinuate with the epitome of zero proof (not even a professional opinion) that a punch by the suspect having a truck coming aggressively at him to make contact..is a bit of an issue in itself. It is one thing to disbelieve the investigator's findings, but hypocritical to say zero plausibility. Arbery didn't have every direction to go because reversing course to head back towards Roddy to be hit (cut-off by physical contact) is no longer an option without peril. Roddy's expert execution of the pivot maneuver on a fleeing suspect is more inclined to have made forceful contact than a punch once the vehicle gently comes in contact with the suspect, as if the vehicle's aggressive cut-off motions (twice forcing the suspect into a ditch to flee) kept the perfect amount of distance from the suspect to ensure no contact. Travis had the wit to inform the 911 operator that the suspect may have a gun and police should be cautious, but the urge to have a physical confrontation supplanted any caution, wit or fear when rushing to confront that same suspect that Travis believed may have a gun. Why is he rushing towards the danger? Is he in danger? No. Is it because Travis is worried the fleeing suspect will shoot him while driving alongside? Clearly, you are not concerned enough if you yelled an ominous threat at the armed fleeing suspect and kept as close as you could possibly get. How is that escalation not an act of aggression? Travis failed at aggressively threatening the suspect by exclaiming his head would be blown off if he didn't stop. So, he changed his tactic to an even more aggressive one by driving ahead to position himself for the physical confrontation his urges superseded all other reasoning to have at all costs. Is Travis rushing ahead to get to this particular position near a path that leads out of the subdivision the attempt to give the suspect an option of fleeing or physically confronting? Would the suspect have lunged at the gunman threat up ahead if the gunman doesn't exit the vehicle with a perceived threat to act on a prior expletive threat of blowing his head off? Both had options and both are accountable for choosing those options. The trespasser didn't punch or attack when you were disarmed and confronted them on the property. After being hit with the truck (whether intentional or accidental..still pursued after the contact with the carjacking madman), it still objectively would escalate and frenzy a suspect even more. At this time, there is zero need for a physical confrontation. We will not agree and that is ok. It's just a civil discourse. I will withdraw from a circular conversation. I do appreciate the civility.

@@theycallmenick Arbery didn't instigate anything at all. Travis overtook Bryan and then Arbery. Accelerated away. Stopped on the right side of the road. Got out with his shotgun and aimed at Arbery. Arbery was rushed towards the McMichaels by Bryan in his pickup truck. Travis has put himself in Arbery's way. But not because he came from the other side of the street, but from behind, because Arbery turned around and ran away from Travis' pickup truck. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHyrdHyabr6rnc0 2:53:04-2:55:55: The first bodycontact between Travis and Ahmaud. And Arbery is already bleeding in the chest and armpit. Arbery blooded before the struggle. The first shot felt before the struggle. Compare that with the uncut video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipLUkJiLlMx1nZI 1:59:19-1:59:36; 2:23:51-2:27:35; 2:37:44-2:38:58; 2:39:00-2:40:53 And then, Travis also had the audacity to say "I didn ́t let him run to me. Directly to me" Travis put himself there, blocking all escape routes for Arbery, and then chasing Arbery as he tried to pass on the passenger side. By the way: Travis, Greg and William had already committed heavy felonies against Arbery, before the first shot was fired. After the 3 had committed the first felony, the 3 could no longer invoke passivity, fear, or self-defense. Which means it didn't matter anymore that Arbery didn't avoid Travis, because Arbery had the legal right to defend himself.

@@theycallmenick And, Travis was going forward when Ahmaud turned and went towards him. Why do you think that Travis stated that Asinine story about he was worried that Ahmaud was going to jump into his truck on the passenger side or attack his father? He said it, not because it was logical or truthful, but because he was trying to deflect his aggressive behavior in front of the truck. If Travis had stayed on driver's side where he exited the truck he would have never been confronted.

@@alfredindy8058 False false false. I literally just watched the video. Travis is BEHIND his truck. You don't see his body, then you do see his body. The camera angle is behind the truck. This means because you can see travis he's moved back from being blocked by the truck. He actually moved BACKWARD and arbery still attacked him moron. Go actually do some research and maybe watch the video.

@@theycallmenick Arbery was already punching Travis in the head and trying to take his gun when he was shot. Travis was former law enforcement. The coast guard is a law enforcement branch of the military (of our oceans). Abery was caught prowling in that house numerous times and was out of jail on felony probation. Arbery was informed the police were on the way and was only scared of that, not of those men.

Interesting take from this: At 36:05 the GBI investigator starts to say, "as he turns and goes towards Travis McMichael" while he has his fist raised. So we're just going to ignore the fact that Ahmad was the first person to engage and hits McMichael in the head with his fist BEFORE the shot is fired? Ok cool, just making sure. Also an interesting question was INTENTIONALLY avoided by the prosecutors: Were the McMichaels aware of the Albanez 9-1-1 phone call?
