Fantastic flying and review, dude! 😃 When you can, try making a side by side comparison between this camera, the Caddx Ratel and the RunCam Phoenix 2. 😉

Thanks man :) Wellll.. as you know I used to do those side-by-side's right.. But found it to not help people much.. the light-conditions over at your place for instance will be Very different.. BUT I will be using the Phoenix 2 in a upcoming build (that DC7 frame I just reviewed) so I can fly them on the same day :)

DutchRC, I just saw one of these for the first time and coming from the FALKOR cams the toothless looked even better IMO. Very impressed and I only use Foxeer cams on all my rigs.

It certainly produces a punchy clear image in your test. And the night flight image is very acceptable. I was trying to think of another 'all weather' camera and remembered the runcam night owl plus - it was awful during the day so was relegated to the spare parts bin. At the moment I'm finding the older foxeer falkor to be a very decent camera in low light conditions. Good stuff man, looks like I need to catch up on the latest tech 👍

Yeah I skipped that Nigh Owl after seeing what it did :) This Foxeer looks to be a nice all-round camera without having to change it's settings for every flight :) Cheers man! Thanks for stopping by :)

Nice review DRC. Hopefully you can compare between Foxeer Toothless Nano and Caddx Baby Ratel. I am using Caddx Baby Ratel for my TP3 and love the image very much and Foxeer Pred Nano for 5inch quad.

Thank you! I Will try to review a couple of nano-size freestyle camera's yes :) Funds are a bit non-existent at the moment, but hopefully at least the nano Toothless and upcoming nano Phoenix (runcam)

By specs, the Caddx Ratel seems better during night and shimmer. With the little light during the afternoons in this time of the year, I really am looking for the best low light or even night camera to be able to have any flying time. How would you compare that one to the Toothless?

The Ratel IS a nice camera, but it would now be stuck in a tree or in the water had I tried flying it in those conditions :) The Ratel is a faster camera by the way.. (as in: lower latency)

Actually, they are identical. It's the same sensor, so the same image, on the Ratel, Toothless and RunCam Phoenix 2. 😊

@@MCsCreations but sensor isn't the entire story.. for instance: the new Runcam 5 orange has the same sensor as the old.. It IS a better camera though..

1200TVL camera is still analog video signal so, really, no Latency like Digitals. Nice picture and color, no auto iris indications - Very Nice.

@@DutchRC I don't recall if you reviewed a Caddix Turtle but I just put one on my 4S 5" quad and I kind of like having the all-in-one capabilities - saves losing a Go-Pro!!!
