Otis is growing, I can tell! He's just a pup so he loves his sleep, of course. I love how you commentate along the way, Colin, and share the history of the UK and the sites. You're really good at it, mate! You are a beautiful person, you are. Remember that, will ya? In downer moments, remember that you are giving tens of thousands of us a wonderful view of your unique life filled with adventure, beautify, and love for Sean and Otis. In downer moments, please think, if you can remember, to count your many blessings, Colin. Name each of them one by one including Sean, Otis, your beautiful boat, your amazing country, and all your fans who love you. Yes, Colin, you are loved by hundreds, maybe even more! Thank God or Cosmic Consciousness however you may be comfortable and accepting with all that and feel peaceful remembering all the wonderous good things that are in you as a person. Most of all, don't waste a moment or be hurtful to yourself by judging and condemning yourself for your weakness, follies, or shortcomings. That is complete bollocks, mate. We're all flawed, foolish, and fall short of perfection. It's in the design of life. So, go easy on yourself, Colin. Many of us out here love you just the way you are! If you're in that group, show Colin by giving this comment a thumbs up, if you read this. Not for me, but for Colin!

Stunningly informative vlog, the care and attention to detail really shines through here, a tv show would spend weeks making this kind of quality content, and you manage to do it on a weekly basis with a dinette as your studio, it's incredibly inspiring. When you have those days that are tough for you, take the time you need and never worry about the viewers, we all put your wellbeing as the priority; and never worry about not covering part of your journey, we'll see it the next time you pass, and, if ever you feel short on footage, just point the camera at Otis and leave it running.... 'Otis Afloat', the spin-off series....

I honestly think that you could package up your Vlogs for a TV series. They would lap this up in the US, especially with all that gorgeous ariel footage od Britain's beautiful countryside. 'Coast' is still popular on reruns, but didn't have the same personal touch with the presenters. I see this as more entertaining than anything on TV. Keeping it real is so important right now, and Colin and Sean are so honest, it is refreshing to see. We love the whole package, with glimpses of Otis, because it reminds us that life can be very good and the whole world is not what mainstream media would have us believe, is a mess of violence and disease. My thanks go to Colin and Sean for presenting real life with all its ups and downs, but ultimately to be thankful for what we have, both now and historically, in Britain. You are a credit to the Nation, lads!

Colin, I'm sure I speak for most of us when I say that I'd rather see fewer quality videos than one every week where the quality drops as your health drops. Good that you could take a week off and look after yourself rather than forcing out another video for us when your heart isn't in it. Shaun - you make sure that Colin looks after himself. Otis - keep both of them happy. Fellow viewers - keep up the great supportive comments, and give the Foxes the space they need. Another great episode - full of some great comedy references - Barbara, Norman & Beryl. All favourites from the past and my youth! Some brilliant drone footage this week too.

Someday maybe you can highlight the missing 10 miles but if not, we will not sweat the small stuff. You have already given so much. I am surprised you guys have been on the river for so long. Hi, goodness Otis has grown so much already. We moored up at Hampton Court Palace exactly where you are. Early the next morning we let our pooch out for her ablutions and she squeezed through the railing into the palace grounds and of course wouldn’t come back. Luckily she had done all her jobs before she snuck through. One of the gardeners brought her back to us with a smile and was reticent in giving her back to us. Guys, having a day, a week, a fortnight or a month off is something all your followers understand. Tha amphibious yellow vehicle is probably a DUKW (or duck). These were used by the military (American I think but not sure) during World War II. Then, when they had no further military use, they became a tourist attraction. I remember going on them as a kid in holiday in Southport!
@DaveButler20004 жыл бұрын
It was a DUKW that sank in the salthouse dock (called a Wacker Quacker in Liverpool)after the engine went on fire. The one that Colin has filmed looks like a new build as the original DUKW’s only had four wheels. One also sank in the Thames if memory serves.

Ruth Pepperman I would put money on it that the DUKW you have seen in Southport would be an original. As a child Southport and Formby was a day out having come from Liverpool. The cockerels used the DUKW’s to get out onto the sands in safety and if caught out by the tides could use the DUKW to get back to the dunes at Formby. Jersey has one to get out to Elizabeth Castle when the tide is in.
@pilpelet1004 жыл бұрын
@@DaveButler2000 You're right. I think that they were originals. They ran them for a few years as a tourist attraction in the 50s. I used to drive my parents to take me on one. My Dad always got stuck with the job as my mother refused point blank! 😊

What a stunning part of the world Windsor and the rest of the areas around river the Thames is. So much history too. As soon as I saw those white house boat things near Hampton Court Palace (are they house boats?) I knew where you were. I was working away from Yorkshire for a couple of weeks and I passed over the bridge in the background and then followed the river for a bit and I remembered those white houses/boats. When I was driving home I didn't even know I was near the palace so, as an history enthusiast and as a lover all things Tudor, I was giddy as hell when I saw it. I could just imaging Wolsey on his barge on his way to Westminster Palace worrying about how he was going to get Henry his divorce. Anyway, star of the show was Otis of course. He's such a cutie. Really look forward to these episodes but totally appreciate that you needed a break. Also, it's aboout you enjoying yourselves and it's hard to do that and film everything as well.

Enjoy the time off, I bet Otis will love that!! Amazing Video Boys looking forward to the double whammy

Great video, as ever. Thank you for telling us about Runnymede, especially “Writ in Water”. I never knew about, and life is now richer because I do. Take all the time you need when you need to; we’ll all still be here when you get back.

Wonderful video, Colin & Shaun! Always enjoy the history tours and the info you share during drone views of historical locations. Sorry it was a hard week, and absolutely take days off when you need to. You both share so much of your lives with us almost around the clock that it’s no surprise every now and then you need to disconnect from the drone, cameras, and recording. Take care of you! On a separate note, it’s great to see Otis is loving boat life; he seems so amazingly happy with you two.Glad he’s doing well at the basics of training, and still finding plenty of time to be cute ;) Thanks as always for taking the time for the video and to research and record things along the way. Can’t sit for the Double Whammy!

I have started watching you guys recently and am loving your videos. You're both so funny. I was very saddened to see Dillon has died. Having lost two dogs in October last year within three weeks of each other i understand totally how sad this time is. Glad you got Otis because he will make healing easier. Love watching the interaction between the two of you. You're both such characters. Keep up the good work and have a Happy Healthy New year. Much love Heather from Scotland.

@@FoxesAfloat You are welcome, thank you for the fun. Love your accent by the way. John and I lived in Bolton 25 years ago for six years and we loved it there, even the weather!! Our younger daughter lives in Manchester and so we are moving back to Westhoughton soon to be nearer to her. Our older and her future husband lives with us and they are moving with us. I cannot wait. Anyway we love it in Lancashire and we missed the people. Salt of the earth. All the best to all three of you and best wishes for happiness and good health for your journey together. Lots of love from an old woman..set now to retire soon and considering buying a narrowboat. :) Heather

Greetings from Woodstock, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada. Enjoy your Vlogs with the running commentary. You might enjoy a vlog from Canada - Cruising the Rideau Canal, Kingston to Ottawa - joining the Ottawa River by a series of 8 locks at the side of the Canadian Parliament Buildings. Get the vlog with KZbin. Shake Otis' paw for me - cute little guy !!!!!! Keep the vlogs coming, they are great. Cheerio ! Wayne Johnson

Re: the Sydney Camm memorial statue of the Hurricane jet fighter thingie... The Spitfire and Hurricane were the two RAF fighter aircraft generally credited with winning the Battle of Britain for the good guys i.e our lot in 1940 , Sydney Camm being the designer of the piston engined Hurricane , the RAF's first 8gun monoplane fighter , hence the statue
