Rich and smith retired this year. Fev been retired for 13 years. Blokes just don’t have the legs like they use to. Red man and saad in their primes are a rarity for distance. Incredible to think about when dissecting. Well done to all of them 👏🏻

Sicily definitely matches those guys on the regular, but he didn't deliver this time, typically happens on longest kick where someone who is a notably long kick doesn't gt onto them. It's a really awkwardly narrow run up. That being said, they measured sic pretty short hah, it lands at 68 and they call it 58. Agree about fev etc though, Dew, Fev, Rocca (s) Savage and obviously buddy all had certified cannons.

But I know he’s a certified bomb but most footballers of yesteryear could kick 60m punts comfortably, where as most struggle with 50 now and that’s with leverage. And you don’t need leverage for a toro, especially when you’re just going for distance and not accuracy. Yeah buddy not so much anymore cause he’s body is shot but in his prime, oooooh yeah. Dew probably couldn’t kick 50 now tbf 🤣 rocca would win it with a drop punt which is why they don’t have him on. Should only be current players or players who retired/retiring after the gf that day competing. Would love to see if dusty could replicate a toro like round 1 in 17, that went 77 I believe.

It’s a small thing that separates the pros from the amateurs. And mids have always done that sort of running yet yesteryears mids kicked further than todays. And majority of people agree.

Sic event, spewing I did my knee and broke leg when racing mx. When I was 15-17 I could drop punt over 50m both legs, when going for big torpedo off preferred right could get through goals more than half way up post could get from 70-75 metres. 16 years of footy then injury stopped riee.
