Play a weird opening. And don't resign until the deep endgame. Kids typically spend a lot of time studying openings and their endgame play is usually weak. If you play an opening they don't know and they just go with the most aggressive option, many kids will just fall apart.

If kids and adults can play each other, men and women should be playing each other at the Candidates!
@Ulfdrengr7 ай бұрын
I don't think there's any rules that say they can't, there's just no women that qualify for the Candidates. The highest rated woman, Hou Yifan, isn't even in the current top 100 of highest rated Chess players.
@nicholasbunio7 ай бұрын
@@Ulfdrengr Well for one, then why is there the women only candidate tournament? Second, part of the issue is, women don't play as much since chess is mostly invite only. Invite more women, they'll play more and get more rating. On a side note, if Hou Yifan is so good, why wasn't she at the women's Candidates? And this year was the first time women and men even played in the same room in the Candidates... says a lot right there.
@Ulfdrengr7 ай бұрын
I don't have all the answers and I'm not going to pretend like I do. But from my understanding I believe they've added women only events to try to bring more women into Chess and allow for more professional female Chess players since statistically there are far more men then women in Chess. Women can participate in open tournaments with men, and the invite only events are typically for top players, it doesn't have to do with gender as far as I know. It really all just comes down to statistics and the reason the top players are all men is because far more men play Chess than women, hopefully we see that change in the future, and we do at least see more participating now than in the past. As far as Hou not participating in the Candidates feel free to look it up, all I know is she's voluntarily dropped out of the cycle for Women's Chess Champion after being champ for 4 years in a row, but I don't know the exact reason why. Some kind of disagreement with FIDE on the system used.
