Good video man! The Black gas is what they recommend for GBBRs which would have heavier bolts and springs compared to GBBPs which is why they dont recommend it to be used in pistols. The amount of people either ignore that advice or arent advised when buying it and still use it is surprising. Im actually surprised it didnt perform better in the cold test too. Just a thought here. If your replicating the different gas in a GBBP in cold conditions, shouldnt the test pistol also be subjected to the same temperatures? The rubber hopup bucking, gas router, and piston cup would all be susceptible to the cold, and would shrink as a result. May be an interesting one to test out an see if there is any changes. A cold bucking may shrink and form a better airseal around the bb after all....if the bbs havent shrunk from the cold either 😂
@FOXGREEN5 жыл бұрын
Ya I was careful to say I wouldn't recommend using black gas in a GBBP as it coukd break it over time. I like that point you raised putting the whole gun in cold condition most likely would effect it even further 🤔 That's certainly something to try out in the future also thanks man 👍👍😎
@gambitcustomairsoft86505 жыл бұрын
@@FOXGREEN if you want to go further down the rabbit hole, you could compare green gas to straight propane too. I run the propane in all my gas guns since its a "dry" gas. Green gas has silicon in it which is great for keeping seals lubricated, but affects the hopup badly i find. I wonder since green gas having silicon in it be affected more as a result with the cold compared to the "dry" propane? I find myself the propane performs better during the winter than the green gas so it may be a factor. Ok, il stop now 😂😂

those TM polymer slide guns break when using gas stronger than the nuprol 1.0 (or other 134a/144a type gases with 110psi pressure at 20°C) commonly. Tokyo Marui and Western Arms with polymer slides should be run with weak gases, maybe go up to the green when it's cold, but thats it. those acetech and xcoretech chronos are also notoriously inaccurate, don't rely too much on their numbers. the tend to "under report". i have an acetech5000 which has basically the same internals and sensors as the xcoretech shown here. mine tends to show 0.2joules less than actually present. i chronoed my HPA rifle and a pistol equipped with an npas at home, set everything to the energy that is allowed at my local field, and when i arrived there and chronoed on their more high quality unit, both my guns had 0.2j too much, so i had to tinker with the stuff again to be field legal. in any case good comparison, shows how much of a difference there actually is, especially in cold conditions. probably mostly useful for GBBR users. i think my WE G-force 19 could become a test mule for strong gas in normal to warm temps to see how well die cast zinc slide guns hold up.
@FOXGREEN2 жыл бұрын
Your right about the TM slides they break easily need to keep the gas low powered. Xcortech, I have always seen consistent results from them. I think they are the most common ones out there. I never have any variance between mine and site ones. 0.2 joules is a massive difference it makes me think your one could be damaged. Bit strange. Thanks for the comment 👍

@FOXGREEN4 жыл бұрын
For an ssx23 i wouldn't go higher than red gas personally but also storing the can of gas in your house at that temperature is fine just keep it in a shading area out of direct sunlight. Also always leave gas in the mags it keeps them from becoming dried out and leaky because the gas has silicon oil in it.

@FOXGREEN10 ай бұрын
Did you adjust the guns hop up? All airaoft guns have a hoo up including yours you have to take the slide off to adjust it and it will make the bbs fly more straight. You keep adjusting it until you her the correct flight path of your bb
@kosmonparran44953 жыл бұрын
you really should have used a pistol with a full size metal slide for these tests. its not just fps but cycle speed that would be easier to judge with a full size metal slide. also 4 shots is not enough to be able to judge or compare power fall off. maybe next time?
@FOXGREEN3 жыл бұрын
All pistols irrespective of size or material will cool down shot after shot especially in quick succession. This test is not to prove what everyone already knows in relation to that it is to show you is there any increase in power from different gasses in colder conditions or what gas gives the best power increase. Of coarse if you spam the trigger it will slow way way down and get weaker and weaker but in cold conditions a good airsofter will know not to do that as it will cause any gas green gas gun to eventually after a few fast shots to eother vent gas or not blow back far enough to pick up the next bb. Again size and slide doest matter as if the gun is rated for a particular power and it achieves that under normal circumstances and doesn't after cooler temperatures you have your control. A small plastic slide gun can achieve 1 joule like mone in this case beacuse its made to achieve that and a larger heavey metal pistol can be made to achieve 1 joule also but that's not what we are testing here and won't actually make any difference either belive it or not.
