They do absolutely work in a convertible. You just have to switch the white and grey wires at the foxlox connector and install it on the passenger side instead of the driver side. I preordered mine and realized it wouldn’t work on my car so I figured out how to adapt it to my car. This works perfectly.

Nice review!!! I'm a car audio and alarm installer and the FoxLox is sweet and simple. They will work on any FoxBody. A simple pin relocation on the FoxLox for some Foxbody models. Personally, I like my Fox to have the deluxe... Yeah!🙂 LIKE Remote start - Auto roll up - roll down door glass all the luxuries by remote. 🥳

What would be the benefit of the foxlox over a normal alarm install? Is this just a simple fast cheap as possible for just keyless only if someone had no interested in the noise deterrent, remote start etc of a normal alarm?

This lock system dims my lights. Is there a possibility this will burn anything else or something?

What do you mean dims your lights? Sounds like you have wiring issues. This kit doesn't plug into anything lighting related.

I have 88 GT T-Top . Had to replace my 30 year old hornet alarm stopped working replaced with 3105V VIPER . repaired their crappy wiring job and installed FOXLOX they work great together love my FOXLOX !!!

I installed mine and the passengers door will not lock or unlock i do hear relay click, any ideas , have new actuators they work good with lock switch on doors.

I think I might have been the first to make it work in a convertible lol. When I first installed it the passenger side would unlock with the first push of the button and the driver with the second push so I realized the connectors on the passenger side were backwards. So I switched the white and grey wires at the connector for the module itself and then it worked perfectly except my driver door actuator would hardly move at all in fact the door wouldn’t lock or unlock but the actuator did make the rod twitch so I installed a Dorman actuator and it works fine. So I would try either lubricating everything with Endura or something like that or just replacing the actuator. I hope this helps. I was assuming you have a convertible because you’re installing it on the passenger side lol.

Just remember before you order that these do not work on the convertibles. I found out the hard way.

i seen this latest and greatest lock kit last year but its kinda like putting a machine gun on a dinosaur. yeah you can do it but both should be left to their own time periods.

That looks to be such a trick product to update a fox body!! I messaged Foxloxusa and they were unable to confirm fitment with my 1987 Cougar XR7 LS . Can anyone confirm? Thank you.
